Hi everybody, I didn't see a thread for the Fall 2013 Traditional BSN, so I decided to start one! Who else is applying? I am currently waiting for my final transcripts to arrive to NursingCAS, UTSA was closed until Jan. 2nd (that is when they finally sent the transcripts) and I am a little bit worried that they are not going to make it in time for tomorrow's deadline! I am basically stalking the NursingCAS portal every hour at this point :(

Spring 2013 Traditional BSN stats... everyone who qualified got an offer.

I saw that! I don't think we are gonna be that lucky... They didn't have a lot of applicants that semester... I hope my gpa saves me because I bombed the math portion of the teas since I got stuck on one question and ran out of time! I got a 76 in the end :/ my gpa is 3.89 thought. I hope that's enough.

I'm sure it is. 76 really isnt bad. I did the worst in the math portion too. Overall, I got a 79 on teas, math n science gpa was 3.6 and other classes was 4.0, so I'm right there with you.

Any updates? I saw that SON extended the deadline to March 29.

Since the deadline has been extended to March 29th, will those who applied and met the original January 10th deadline receive any preferential treatment? Why was the dealine extended? It might have been nice to know we had an extra 2.5 months to study for and take the TEAS, instead of having to rush and take it while preparing for finals last December. Sorry if I sound bitter, but I busted my butt to get everything in on time, so I'm curious as to why the deadline was extended.

I'm really not sure. It would only be fair to those who made the original deadline to be considered first. I'm assuming they didn't have a good number of applicants for the term and are hoping to attract more.

Has anyone gotten an answer as to why the deadline got extended and how that will affect when they tell us admissions decisions?

Wait a minute, I didn't know about this extension :/ I'm wondering if they are referring to the deadline to send the application (originally January 10th) or the deadline for the supplemental application (march 4th). It's kind of unfair in my modest opinion. But it might be a good sign! Maybe they have very few applications!

The only sure thing is that now we are going to have to wait longer to find out if we got in... Last year applicants found out between march 21 and 23, with this extension we won't probably hear anything until April!

Sorry, I didn't mean to stir up more stress for all of you. I was looking at their website and noticed they extended the Fall admission application deadline and was curious. I'm planning on applying for the Spring semester (my 2nd attempt), but with the new deadline, it is tempting. I have been reading past threads and this happened with summer applicants as well. From what I read, those who applied before the original deadline didn't have to wait an extra period of time.
