UTHSCSA Traditional BSN Application Fall 15

Hey guys!

So the application to start in the Fall of 2015 is due on February 1st. Really, that is right around the corner if you think about it!

Let this thread be dedicated to all hopefuls!

I still have to take the Teas V, but I did buy the study guide with 2 tests so hopefully that helps. My cumulative GPA will be 3.2ish and my pre-req GPA will be close to 4.0. I'm extremely anxious about getting in that is for sure!

I just biffed it hard on my bike just now coming down a hill, I made a turn on some water and now my leg is all scratched up. At least my bike is still ok, still gonna take it in to make sure it aint broke.

Guys they usually accept in alphabetical order, so when some of you get an email and others haven't got theirs yet don't freak out :)

Theres only 2 days for them to let everyone know so I don't really think they have time to do the rejections in batches. Maybe acceptance one day and rejections the other? Plus waiting list-ers. Idk but they better start accepting people before we all combust.

Thank you Herrington for checking on that, your awesome!! Ugh! I don't want to wait 2 more days I thought my little sleep coma today would help, but nope. Well I work again tomorrow night so hopefully time will go faster!

I envy you guys...I just got an email from Brandy saying that for our program (msn) they had something like 300 applicants, and they won't let us know by April 1st, but April 10th! I don't know if I can handle the extra wait, thank God I just started Immersion today and I'll be busy.

I just went looking at the accelerated thread.... I've got butterflies! I'm so excited! I can make the fb group since I am addicted to the dang thing. I can make it now.... Uthscsa hopefuls fall 2015 and then when we find out in two days change the name. =P

Ok I went and spoke with the lady at the front desk, who said that nothing had gone out yet (which I asked about because people are obviously getting emails). Brandy herself came out from over hearing us and spoke with me. She said that the rejection emails for all *non qualifying* applicants have gone out. She said that hundreds of people apply but the vast majority of them " don't know what they're doing " when they apply and do it anyways. Right now they are going through and looking at all of the *qualifying* applicants (us) and ranking us to see who will still get in and who won't because they're low on the list, etc.

I told her that I was one of those who hasn't received anything yet, to which she said that that was a good thing. So we all qualify, it seems, but there is still the possibility of being turned down. It's like there are are 2 sets of rejection emails and the first set has gone out already.

Hope that clears some of this stuff up. They did say though that April 1 is the day we are to hear by.
