I'm considering going to nursing school through the Baptist Health System in San Antonio or UTHSCSA. Most people I get advice from tell me hands down to go for UTHSCSA. I would like to hear from more of you who are currently enrolled or have gone through the nursing school program at either one of these locations in San Antonio. What did you like about the teachers, faculty, the content you were learning, etc. What were your hours like at school and if you had kids, how did you manage your time.
I am still a pre-nursing student and have one more semester in Spring of 2014 to complete before I can apply. I am very excited and just want to know more information. Also, a close family friend is attending nursing school at Wayland Baptist and informed me that their nursing program is shutting down. Is there any truth to this?

Here's the Facebook link. Everyone join so we can get to know each other. I've heard we'll be spending a lot of time together...lol. All I've done was created the group so if anyone wants to admin let me know and if possible I'll pass it off.
And yes, I totally got a job last month in anticipation of the laptop but this is crazy!!
Coolbeans, you can accept as long as you do so by the 9th. The seat deposit isn't due until noon of the 18th. And this is not a contract, so you aren't bound to anything. If you hear from another school by then all you have to do is miss the seat deposit deadline and they will fill your spot with someone from the waiting list. But be kind and let the school know that you changed your mind asap so that someone on the waiting list can have a chance sooner.

Did you guys check out that long freaking list of things we have to turn in before we start the semester, and all those fees? A computer, the programs, ATI review, scrub tops, books, like that all comes out to $3000... I don't know about you guys but I don't have that kinda money just lying around. Looks like I'll be working even more overtime.
