UTHSCSA Spring 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I haven't seen a thread for the Health Science Center in San Antonio, so I decided to create one since I am curious as to when we will find out if we are accepted or not. I am very nervous! I really want to go to this school but I know a couple of people that didn't get accepted from previous terms that had a better GPA or a better TEAS V score than I do. I am praying!!!

Well, thats a good thing they asked you to retake it! Plus you did way better :) there is a reason they gave you another chance!! So stay positive!!

Thanks again. Half the time my friends have no idea what I'm babbling about. A week away before deadline for SA! Good luck to you & everyone.. Keep busy:)

Hey guys! Hope everyone had a good weekend.

I got my TEAS score Sunday evening. I really hope it is enough to balance out my not-so-great overall gpa.

How was your teas?? Im glad you are done with it!! :)

It went better than I though! I knew I did pretty good in math and english. I was still nervous during the reading section since it was the very first section. And man, some of those science questions had me second guessing myself left and right! I felt pretty uneasy leaving the testing site

I ended up with an 86.7. I was hoping for at least an 80,so I was very happy. All I need to do is look over the application one more time and send it in!

Great!!!! :)

oh jeez. If its not one thing, it's another. haha. So, I submitted my application, about half an hour later, I received an email from nursingCAS about my transcripts. Apparently when I requested my transcripts back in December, it was before my Associate degree was posted to my records. I flat out PANICKED. I called UTHSCSA and they told me as long as the actual application is in by Aug. 1st, I need to have my transcript there by Aug. 10th. I then frantically called the community college and spoke with a sweet, very calming lady, who said if I head down there today to request it, the transcript should very well be there before Aug. 10th. Keep your fingers crossed for me, guys. I hope she is right.

Fingers crossed! I have a feeling you're good.. Not to worry?? ?

I also worried earlier this month because I never heard about my teas scores being sent

but I also never heard that they were not received.

That would have definitely worried me, too. I would have thought, "Oh my god, I hope I don't have to take the test all over again." haha Glad that wasn't the case, though.

I would mind especially if it costs 90$. But I'm excited only 2 days till they "start reviewing" applications. ?

I know!! I am both excited and nervous!

I applied as well for Spring 2015 traditional BSN program. I'm just really nervous, as I know all of us can surely relate. My Birthday is next week and to be honest all I want is an acceptance. How soon are letters sent out?
