UTHSCSA-Spring 09 Applicants

Published

I was wondering if there were any people applying for Spring 09 that wanted to share information and have someone to talk to. I applied and they sent my GPA report. It's wrong so I need to get them to fix it. There is an open house on Thursday, June 19th. Good luck to all.

I start back on the 25th as well. I still have 2 prereqs to finish up.The waiting isn't getting to me. The only time I really think about it is when I'm checking the mail. If I get an interview then the waiting after the interview will probably be what gets to me. But, right now I don't even know if I'll get an interview so I'm not going to put myself through worrying for something that may never happen. I'm just going to take it one step at a time and not get ahead of myself. Otherwise I'll get really obsessive about it and drive myself crazy. :)

Hi Everyone,

I applied to the Spring 09 accelerated at UTSA also. I had an interview last week. I think it went pretty well. I know that they rank the candidates by their interview, prereq gpa, and TEAS score. My prereq gpa they have on file is not that great given that the majority of my classes were taken after the application deadline...which makes me very nervous. Did anyone else have an interview? I wonder how many people actually get an interview. They said that we should hear something mid october. The wait is killing me. Good luck everyone.

I got an interview as well. My interview went very well. I am pretty confident that I will get in. The wait is tough though.

Wow, I wish I had that confidence. I think I have the ability to worry myself to death. However, the other day I got a fortune cookie that said "everything will now come your way." I kept it.

from what i've heard, here's a summary of the numbers of applicants:

600 applications

200 interviews

120 spots (100 generic track, 20 accelerated track)

p.s. i think i'm officially addicted to reading messages off of this website
