UTHSCSA Fall 2021 Traditional BSN

Published

I have not seen a thread for uthscsa fall 2021 so I am creating one! I have a question. In nursingcas, you pay a fee and then it mentions paying a fee to the school of nursing as well. In the questions tab of program materials in your application, it provides a website to go to in order to pay that separate fee. I am unable to get to the website. Help!

Hey girl!

Try this link :)

Let me know if that works for you! I am also applying to UTHSCSA for Traditional BSN Fall 2021. This will be my second time applying, I was originally waitlisted for Spring 2021. UIW is another program I am also applying to locally. What are your stats if you don't mind me asking? Like cumulative and prerequisite GPA.

Wow thank you so much I just paid it using that link!! And my overall GPA is a 3.42. I am actually unsure of my pre req GPA, I would need to calculate it I suppose? What are your stats?

My overall is a 3.45 GPA and my prereq is a 3.60 GPA. I believe the prereq GPA includes the bolded math and science courses under the traditional nursing information located on their website. They are waiving the TEAS exam again too! Good luck to you ?

Oh okay awesome. Goodluck to you as well! ?

Greetings fall 2021 applicants! I hope everyone stayed safe during the storm!

This will also be my second time applying to UTHSCSA. I applied for the Spring and got interviewed but did not make the cut. It is even more competitive now that they have waived the TEAS. This has created an even higher applicant pool. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED!

Learning from my mistakes, I applied to two other programs rather than just UTHSCSA for this round. UIW and Galen are my next options! UTHSCSA is my top choice and I really hope I get accepted this round.  I believe  I didn’t excel as much on the interview as I’m not used to doing pre-recorded interviews and I should’ve prepared for it more appropriately. I normally do great with in person interviews and I thought I had this one in the bag- I WAS WRONG. PREPARE! PREPARE! I’ll be recording myself with nursing practice questions to see how I look. The practice questions they offer are unrelated to nursing so I believe doing this will help us all immensely.

My STATS: Cumulative : 3.1  Pre Reqs: 3.4  TEAS: 80

They’re O.K, but not very competitive. As for experience I’ve been a medical surgical tech at University Hospital for 6 years! I love it so much, but I’m extremely eager to do more!

We should be receiving interview invites towards the end of March. Best wishes to all!

Has anyone heard anything about interviews yet? I’m not sure of the timeframe of when we should expect something

Does anyone have recommendations for volunteer documentation what is it they are looking for
