Hi All,
Since January 10th was the application deadline, do any of you have an idea as to when the earliest when we will hear from UTHSC-San Antonio? I already have my bachelor's degree in a non-nursing subject but I opted for the 2-year traditional route because the accelerated program just seemed too intense. Are there other 2nd degree folks out there applying to the 2 year program as well? Good luck to you all! I hope we are all there in the Fall!
Me too! Me too! I can't wait until the 7th, but then again I already took the TEAS. I just need to forward the results...then more wait until the 25th of March. Oh how I wish it could get here.
Anyway...I have a friend that got into the May 2011 Accelerated, and he got an acceptance days after he took the TEAS. I wonder how that happened?
@Ashley1111--We have to have CNA training?! I didn't know that. I knew about the immunizations and CPR--which I still need the CPR. I was thinking about CNA classes but for my own experience--I didn't know we NEEDED them. I think the CNA training would include CPR. Where are you? I know several places that do the CNA training.
@bananamtz: i'm not sure if CNA training is required at uthscsa, but i know it is at texas a&m nursing school. sooo i kind of assumed it was the same for all the other nursing schools. i was going to take CNA training whether it was necessary or not just for experience too. where r the CNA training programs that u know of?

just got the following informational email, which i'm sure you will all get, too:
thank you for applying to the university of texas health science center san antonio's school of nursing. we have received your application and are in the process of reviewing admission files. this process should be complete within the next few days. once this process is complete we will be sending out teas test invites to those applicants who qualify for the next round of admissions.
here is our admissions timeframe...
- monday, february 7th...send out teas invites via e-mail
o the teas test will be available to take between the dates of february 15th-march 18th.
- friday, march 18th...teas test deadline
- friday, march 25th...send out offers of admission for the fa11 semester
if you do not receive an e-mail inviting you to take the teas test this means your application for admission is ineligible for review. if that is the case, an e-mail will be sent to you, from the hsc's application center, explaining why your application is ineligible for admissions review.
study guides for the teas version v (5) exam can be found at www.atitesting.com.
