UTHSCSA-Fall 2011

Hi All,

Since January 10th was the application deadline, do any of you have an idea as to when the earliest when we will hear from UTHSC-San Antonio? I already have my bachelor's degree in a non-nursing subject but I opted for the 2-year traditional route because the accelerated program just seemed too intense. Are there other 2nd degree folks out there applying to the 2 year program as well? Good luck to you all! I hope we are all there in the Fall!

I also recieved conditional offer of admission! I think it just means you have to finish out the process such as shot records and background checks. at least I think that's what it means. I am SO happy right now! :)

I got in, as well! Unconditional offer, of course!

For those who are waitlisted, please please please do not give up. You guys might be saying "well yeah you're just saying that" but there are plenty of people that actually got rejected! At least you didn't get rejected... and honestly, a lot of people also reject UTHSCSA... I could be one of them. I'm waiting to hear back from other schools to decided where I go. Also, I'm sure you guys are also waiting to hear back from other schools... so good luck with all the other schools!

I am another one on the alternate list :(

I wonder how many of us are on it? Did they reject anyone??

My TEAS score was what got me...I did not have time to take it more than once and my score...was not so great.

Well congrats to all who got in!! And let us know if you decide to reject UTHSCSA : )

FYI conditional admissions offer means that u are admitted but you must complete the pre-req classes prior to the beginning of the semester.

Please don't ever give up! You wouldn't believe how many times I've been rejected for various programs. If it's meant to be, it will work out. I only had a 3.5 GPA and scored a 76 on the TEAS, but I think I was accepted because I not only had my BS degree, but I had taken a lot of other courses besides the pre-reqs, i.e. Organic I &II, Calculus, Physics. Just focus on what you need to do to make your package stronger and go for it! Things do happen for a reason, it may not be your time...

I'm in!!!! Conditionally, but I am in. So happy...but now it is decision time.

oh ok thanks. yeah i completed all of my pre-reqs last fall. so maybe something isn't right. oh well, i guess i just have to take care of it and see you all at orientation! :)
