Calling all UT Memphis DNP student together, including alumni. Let's network! Ask any questions about any particular program you are in or know about. I will start.

I have been a nurse 2 years and plan to start the DNP Acute Care program in August 2013. I'm looking for any advice, a list of books, or other materials we may have to buy for school. I also was wondering if anyone knows how the program will run. Lets get to know each other. :yes:

I haven't heard from there but we should hear something by mid or end of July. I heard that from other students.

So I got my net ID, not working... I've tried the last four of my social and the ID they gave me... I will call the help desk, but wasn't sure if y'all knew any other tricks.

Hello all,

I too am from Arkansas. I have been a nurse for 2 years. I have been accepted into the dual Psychiatric Mental Health/Family Nursing program. I am excited and nervous! It will be nice to meet you all in August.

I interviewed back in March actually and received my netID just this past week.

Is anyone else getting antsy about needing information for classes and books? AND school starting in just a few short weeks...:nailbiting:

Definitely feeling unprepared... I really want to bargain hunt when it comes to the books.. so I hope we get the information soon. On top of that, I would really like for my NetID to work. As well as figure out if a recent background check that I have done will count for this one.

I talked with a friend in the program and she said we don't know our books until we get there in August. She said they tell you during lectures each day which ones to get. I can't believe your NetID still isn't working! Have you called IT?

Got my Net ID working. Submitted my background check, waiting for the "instructions" to be sent to me for my drug test, whatever that means.

Goodmorning, the financial aid award is posted. If you haven't already, you will need to sign your promissory note and complete your entrance paper( it has direction on how to do this. Also I saw you had an option to accept or decline you award. My plan is to go to the school today and see if there any other paper I need to fill out before school. I'll keep everyone updates. I hope everyone is enjoying there summer because it's almost that time!!!!
