Calling all UT Memphis DNP student together, including alumni. Let's network! Ask any questions about any particular program you are in or know about. I will start.

I have been a nurse 2 years and plan to start the DNP Acute Care program in August 2013. I'm looking for any advice, a list of books, or other materials we may have to buy for school. I also was wondering if anyone knows how the program will run. Lets get to know each other. :yes:

It might not work until its closer to school to starting. Mines doesn't work neither.

Mine wasn't working originally, but I emailed them & they said that I never had been given an account. They created an account for me, and now it works... It is useless until we register for classes, but at least it is one more thing done!

Anyone know what the dress code is for orientation, or if we need to bring anything besides our laptop?

I talked with a student and was told professional business attire (especially when the visiting speaker is there). I'm packing pants, dress shirts,

skirts, heels, and flats. She said there might be one day webcam wear jeans but I'm not 100% on that.

Hey have anyone registered for there classes? Also are your classes the same one on the curriculum or different?

They have change the curriculum. Notice we are taking 3 classes that are 10 credits. The bio statics is now 4 credits and it looks as though its combined with another class.

I have not registered yet as I'm awaiting completion of my financial aid. I was told they couldn't access my SAR from the FASFA site. I have submitted the SAR and faxed a copy of my social security card and verbally provided my social security number..... Still not processed. I understand that there are multiple students whose FASFA can't be accessed. I hope it's processed this week.

We should receive it in August because its not posted on the website. We should've received it that was one of my reasons for applying being the program was 3 years long without summers hopefully the changes were not that significant.....

On the Thursday we are on campus, it says that a lab coat is required. What kind of lab coat are y'all buying? A short one?

Has anyone had a problem with financial aid accessing their SAR from the FASFA site? I was told that their were some students that could not be accessed and I want to know if their issue have been resolved.
