UTHSC Houston Vs TWU for FNP track,fall 2011

I am planning on doing my FNP programme this fall.I want to make a decision between TWU and UTHSC.Can anyone share any info regarding accademics,tuition and fees.Which programme is better.I have applied for both.

I would wait and see if you get into both before you start to worry about this. I know TWU has been flooded with applications recently. A lot of very qualified people are not getting accepted.

Ofcourse I am waiting to hear from these schools.Meanwhile thought of doing a small research on these 2 schools.My first preference is UTHSc .I have a good MAT score and GPA.I am very hopeful about this one.Just thought of getting some info,if possible.

My best friend is a TWU FNP student and attended the Dallas campus and after speaking with him and meeting some of his fellow students, I am so glad I did not apply there. they might be local but they are amassing a poor reputation among the student body with hostile and unreasonable instructors. Most of the students I spoke with were desperate to change to the Denton campus. I will qualify this with the fact that this IS hearsay as I have no direct experience, but I do trust the word of my friend and that word is not good for the faculty of the Dallas extention campus.

Plus what guy wants TWU on his degree anyways huh? :)P JK

I got date for graduate school interview on May 31st at 11am.:).Anyone else out there who is for UT Health interview?I am kinda stressed out:confused:...Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Wow. I hope the Denton campus is NOTHING like this. I just got accepted to TWU's Denton campus for FNP FALL 2011. I've heard excellent things about this school. I'm still waiting to hear back from Univ Texas at Arlington to see if I got accepted there yet. But their deadline hasn't passed yet, it's JUNE 1st, so it will be awhile.

I have 13 yrs of nursing experience.Unfortunately I did not make it with UTHSC .Denied admission for fall 2011.My interview went well except the fact that I stressed too much on becoming an educator after getting my FNP.I think thats the main reason my admission was denied.May be they thought its better for me to study MSN education.I am so sad.Now waiting to hear from TWU Houston.Checking my mail several times a day.
