Hello Guys and Girls,

I got a request to move this forum to the Texas region. The move will make this forum very easy to locate. I posted the previous thread link at the bottom. Enjoy and Happy Mother's Day to all!:redpinkhe

Hello UT Hopefuls,

I am so anxious to finish my prereqs. Anyone else taking prereqs? If so, where? What classes are you taking?

Hi again! I'm anxious to finish my pre-reqs as well. After the spring semester, I'm eligible to apply, but I'll still be taking my pre-reqs this summer: A & P II and Development thru the Lifespan for the first summer, and Chemistry and Nutrition the second summer session.

Hello everyone!

I am fairly new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I'm in the process of completing my pre-reqs this summer. Stats, chem and AP2. I'm hoping to get into the spring 2011 or the summer 2011 (accelerated).

I recently took the HESI this week and it was fairly easy but I will have to re-take it. I did not score very well in the AP section and I think that may be because I have not yet taken AP2.

If you have already taken the HESI please let me know what areas to study for the AP portion. I passed with 90+ for all the other sections except for the AP. I've been studying from the Evolve study guide and the McGraw Hill Nursing entrance exam.

Everything is starting to get sooo hectic. Has anyone completed their immunization shots yet or CPR certification?

With UT houston, are you allowed to apply to both the traditional and accelerated programs? I am looking into the same programs as you are. Have you heard anything about the difference in the programs? Which is better? I was kind of worried about the accelerated program being mostly online. I am having trouble deciding what to do...

any thoughts??

I am in the process of sending my 40 hours to UT and my Science GPA is a 4.0 and my overall is a 3.975. I'm a little worried about the Hesi in which i plan to take after my Summer II classes are finished! I will then need to attend the fall semester because i need MicroBiology, Govt, Arts, and Engl 1302! This is the only school I'm applying to for the Spring because UTMB moved up their deadline to July 15th, 2010. I wanna wish everybody good luck on their test and grades. Let's all get in woo-hoo!

Hey everyone.. another Spring'11 hopeful for the BSN program over here. UTHSC is my first choice, UTMB second, and the ADN program at Lonestar would be my third.

This fall semester will be my last semester finishing up my pre-reqs (FINALLY!). So I just need to get through Govt II, Philosophy, Statistics, and English II. My science GPA is 4.0 and right now I have a 4.0 for my pre-reqs (but let's see where that ends up after I take Stats :uhoh3:) I'm not banking on getting accepted because of my GPA though.. I've heard stories of people not getting in despite a high gpa... so it sounds like they take experience greatly into account during the selection process.

I took the HESI A2 last month and scored an overall of 89%. I found the HESI WAYYYYYY easier than the TEAS. Also, remember for those who haven't taken it yet that you DON'T have to do the Biology and Chem sections! Just a thought to save some time ;)

Also, has anyone had trouble with submitting the online application? It's the PDF document that opens up in your browser, but everytime I finish and click "Submit" it will just take hours to load without ever going through. Anyone else have this problem?

Good luck everyone :D

Hi Reeshul

I was curious about your experience with the Hesi. I have to take it this Saturday and am really unsure as to how to prepare for the a & p part. Since we don't have to take Biology or Chemistry, does that mean cell, cell organelles and their functions won't be on there...that should be in Biology right? I took the TEAS V last week and scored a 79%. :( not too happy about that. I have the Mcgraw Hill book, Evolve, Barrons, and Kaplan study Guides. As well as cliff notes for A and P. If its easier than the Teas, then maybe I'll do ok.

Hey everybody! I recently applied for the summer 2011 accelerated program and am patiently (nervously, anxiously) waiting to hear back from them. My scores are in, and so are my transcripts and have yet to hear anything. What about you all? :uhoh3:

Everpark,

Did UTHSC say you didn't have to take biology or chemistry? Because I took it, and the biology part was the part that brought my average down!! Do we not need it?

Also, how was the TEAS test? I'm scheduled to take it the 14th.
