Hello everyone! This thread is for everyone applying to the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. I believe they will be accepting applications from January 15-April 1, so the sooner the better! Their admission requirements are pretty standard:
Minimum Pre-Req Gpa: 2.75
Minimum Science Gpa: 3.0
Minimum HESI A2 score: 75% or higher on all required sections - math, reading comprehension, vocabulary/general knowledge, grammar, anatomy and physiology, critical thinking.
My info is really not that competitive, but I'm going to give it a shot anyways -
Pre-Req Gpa: 3.30
Science Gpa: 3.0 (Barely cutting it! )
Overall Gpa: 3.28
Hesi score: 93.3% overall, with my lowest score being a 90.
My gpa is not the best, but I still have 3 more classes to finish this semester, and I'm aiming for all A's! I think the best thing I have going for me is my HESI scores.

yuppp my transcript for the courses i am taking at the college still shows as a to do thing. are you taking any classes this semester that are required for ut houston?
I only applied to the Traditional BSN program that started Fall 2011, so I'm a J1 right now (first semester of Junior year). We're just approaching finals here it's getting intense. We have 10 tests between now and May 4th... Something to look forward to!
Hi! I got in as well!! Question though....for those of you accepted to the summer program- Did you get an email telling you when school started and what to do to complete to do list (CPR, background check- how do we get that??)???

I got a second transcript evaluation yesterday (which almost gave me a heart attack btw). At the top it says "BS IN NURSING-GENERIC NURSING PROGRAM." Is that what is says for all Fall 2012 applicants? Also, according to my transcript eval my prerequisite classes are complete and TSI req. has been met but on myUTH the TSI is on my to do list and... there is a big green dot that says complete on the admission status. Im confused now .
