Hello friends!

I'm creating this as a communication board for new students/applicants to talk on about:

• Current GPA -- science & overall
  
• Requirements needed to apply
  
• HESI test requirements

A quick intro-- My name is Maira and I've followed previous threads on here and I love how much information you can get from it! (I followed and read ALL of UTHSC Nursing Spring 2016)

I'm applying at UThealth for the nursing pacesetter program for Spring 2017. The application is due by Aug. 15 and I haven't submitted it yet because I haven't taken the HESI! I'm getting anxious about taking it, have any of y'all taken yours yet?!

Also, I've been meaning to stop by the school and see if my pre-reqs meet their requirements. I'm a bit confused on whether they will average 2 scores of the same class or not. For instance, a long time ago I took a English course and got a F (I was careless and young) and now I retook it and got a A. Another thing that I've been wondering about is what exactly the 5 hours of "electives" are-- will they accept a math class for it?

Could the green check just mean your application is complete? Does yours explicitly state that you are accepted or does it say accepted on anywhere?

They use the same system as UTMB and a green check means admitted while a green circle is just complete.

A green circle is for "complete."

Hello guys.....

i just want to let you know I GOT ACCEPTED !!! So i just randomly checked the portal today and i couldn't believe in my eyes when i see the green check on my application status i have to double checked twice.

I haven't gotten my transcript evaluated yet, and i turned in my application last minute so i really didn't expect to get in. BUT I GOT ACCEPTED.

Go check your portal guys, maybe they are sending out result today!

I have been reading this forum, and getting the anxiety with the rest of you; although I am applying for Summer 2017.

Hello Guys,

It did explicitly said i was accepted, and asked me to accept/decline the offer. I tried to screenshot it for you guys but the forum won't let me upload it !

And just for reference, here is my score :

General GPA : 3.65

Science GPA : er... idk ._. I didn't have it evaluated, but I'm guessing it's higher than my general GPA. Probably around 3.85

HESI average : 87.6%

Reading: 90

Grammar: 82

Vocab: 96

Math: 90

AP: 80

CT: 890

I know mine just a humble stat compare to everyone in this thread! UT Health is such a competitive school to get into so i didn't have high hope with my application, but i was accepted anyway so i believe you guys will too!! Finger crossed for you guys!

Nursing gap 3.8 science gpa 4.0 overall hesi scores 90. I have a previous degree.
