Published

Hi,

I opened this for those who apply for Sping 2022 at UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing Pacesetter program.
I plan to take my HESI in May.

The school calculated my science GPA as 3.75 . And other classes 3.87 even though the other classes was suppose to be 3.9 . I just finished 3 classes and made all As so hopefully it can come back up to 3.9

I had all As in the sciences except for AP1

Wait did you get a score report back for this application? I haven’t received anything from them showing my GPAs and stuff

I didn't either… I just submitted my transcript and that was it. @Mteeplans did u request for an eval?

When I submitted the application I emailed admissions about evaluation . They told me they would do it for every student. I found out later that they are not able to do it for all applicants . Having your transcripts evaluated or not does not affect you bn accepted or otherwise . So it’s really not a big deal

Yup yup, I got one months after submitting my app, but I know someone else who applied the same time and did not receive one. The actual evaluation is an electronic print out that looks like a table with all your courses and grades that says “OK” if you’ve completed certain pre-reqs.

On an unrelated note, does the school provide information on acceptance rates? I haven’t been able to even find out how many pacesetter applications it receives per semester or what its acceptance rate it.

Edit: Someone  e-mailed admissions and was notified that there are no plans to release decisions today ?

All I know is they accept 120 students each sem and applicants range from 700-1500 ish. I know Summer has the least applicants and fall has most. But I think our applicant pool should be near the lower end….

I attended a webinar last year and this is what their slides said

I don't think we will receive results anytime soon, not in at least this week or the week after. This is from the UT Health website.

Those are the dates they've always given on their website, and they are meant to be the very last dates you should hear back, incl. acceptances, rejections, waitlists, etc. But if you check the prior years' threads, people start getting acceptances beginning 10/20-10/21 for the Spring semesters

Well, I saw that the results come in waves around 11 am and 4pm, so I think it's safe to say that there isn't gonna be a wave of acceptance today. tomorrow is a new day ?
