UTHealth Cizik School of NURSING (Pacesetter program) Spring 2022

Hi,

 I opened this for those who apply for Sping 2022 at UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing Pacesetter program. 
I plan to take my HESI in May.

Hello! I am applying to Lonestar Nursing program. I am really considering UThealth but I am finding minimal information on the program. Does anyone know how I can attend an information session, or what is the best way to get in contact with someone with more information? TIA 

BTW: I took my HESI in March and got a 94% overall and 100% in the A&P section. I will be taking Chemistry, Nutrition, Pharmacology this Summer and Micro this fall.

Was HESI Hard? I have 3 more classes and HESI pending.

Can anyone suggest an elective? Can I take another sociology class as an elective if I already have an Introduction to sociology?

Hey! I checked online for info sessions but none are posted I believe ill just have to keep checking back. I was actually really stressed about the HESI but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Like after I took it, I was like “I was really stressing myself over that?” Youll do great! I took Art Appreciation and Kinesiology as an elective. 
 

Does anyone know where I can get some feedback from peoples experience at the a school! Im always so overly worried of failing out the program? TIA

im pretty sure you go on the uth website to apply. I don't think u need nursing cas

The HESI is not hard it’s basic questions about each subject but you do need to study. The HESI quizlets helped a lot for me.

Does anyone know if you took the HESI last year, would you have to resend it this year or would they already have it? I’m not sure how I could resend it and I did not apply with it last year.

I believe if you just resubmit a new application you don’t need to send the HESI scores again unless you took it at another institution. Then you would need to resend.
