UTHealth Cizik School of NURSING (Pacesetter program) Spring 2022
Yup yup, I got one months after submitting my app, but I know someone else who applied the same time and did not receive one. The actual evaluation is an electronic print out that looks like a table with all your courses and grades that says “OK” if you’ve completed certain pre-reqs. On an unrelated note, does the school provide information on acceptance rates? I haven’t been able to even find out how many pacesetter applications it receives per semester or what its acceptance rate it. Edit: Someone e-mailed admissions and was notified that there are no plans to release decisions today ?

UT Cizik Pacesetter Program
According to the presentation I attended earlier this year, UT Cizik will only consider the higher grade from classes retaken. They mentioned that a score of 85+ is competitive, but I don't know if this means 85 average only or 85 and above in all sections. An 88 is a good score in its own right. Recommendation letters are useful for other schools like PVA&M but they are not considered for pacesetter admissions. With all the applications the school receives, it's a matter having good luck as well. Wishing you the best!

Spring and Summer semesters receive less apps than the Fall, but it has been eerily quiet compared to previous years. Maybe COVID is off-putting people? I am also nervous because I'm in a similar spot. I have some rough grades from a couple years back but did well afterwards with pre-reqs and have a high HESI. Based on the presentation held earlier this year, your stats are competitive for admissions. Still, nobody knows for sure goes on behind closed doors. Fwiw, the BSN admissions criteria keeps in mind "constantly improving undergraduate record."
