UTH Cizik School of Nursing BSN Pacesetter- Spring 2020

I thought I'd start this feed now. I applied in January. I know I'm early but I'm not much of a procrastinator. I just retook my Hesi and got a 89.2.. I feel I need to take it over but, some people are saying they don't even know UT's selection process. Can anyone enlighten me on that?

Hey guys! I, unfortunately, received my denial for fall today :( But I will be reapplying for spring! My stats are "above average" barely lol.

Prereq GPA: 3.68

Science GPA: 3.69

Hesi Overall: 94

Reading: 90

Grammar: 92

Vocab: 92

AP: 100

Math: 96

Hi guys, I am on my 4th try for UTHealth. I have a 3.9 gpa in all areas. I got a 92% on my HESI on the first try. I have worked as a clinic aide at an elementary school for 6 years. Good luck to everyone because that is what we need! I pray that I get in this time. Good luck to everyone else as well. This time I will be applying at other schools as well.

So, thats the only place you applied?

I applied to UTMB also but my TEAS scores were much lower so I did't have my hopes as high. I am studying this summer to retake the TEAS. I got an 80% the first time.

Ok, I'm applying at Alvin and San Jac. Alvin, has a joint commision with Sam. After the first semester at Alvin you can apply to Sam and take your online BSN courses concurrently. I'm not going to just wait on UT.

I wanted UT but i'm 47. I need to be done by 50.

I applied to UTMB as well. I had not met the qualifications yet to apply to the other schools I had in mind by their application dates. I am applying to 4 schools for the spring though. Fingers crossed!

For those of you who didn't get into UTH for the Fall, how are you dealing with the rejection? I feel like such a failure- Houston is my hometown and I desperately wanted to go home. I just wasn't good enough. =(
