UTH Cizik School of Nursing BSN Pacesetter- Spring 2020
Updated: Published
I thought I'd start this feed now. I applied in January. I know I'm early but I'm not much of a procrastinator. I just retook my Hesi and got a 89.2.. I feel I need to take it over but, some people are saying they don't even know UT's selection process. Can anyone enlighten me on that?
Hi everyone! I'm also applying to UTHealth for spring 2020 semester. I will be taking my Hesi 2nd week of June. Please I have a little concern, I created Evolve account but didn't register for the Hesi through it, instead, I registered for the Hesi Exam at HBU (I will be using their testing center). Please, do you see this as an issue? Is it mandatory to register for the exam through the Evolve account? I don't know why I didn't just register for my exam through Evolve account that I already created! (Beating myself up right now!)??. This is crazy! I'm freaking out because when I log into my Evolve account it does not show any registered exam!!! ?
Please talk to me ??
Thank you.

I'm going to try the following
Alvin ADN
Galveston ADN
UTMB BSN
SanJac ADN
of course and UT Health
I guess it's just a waiting game now.
I applied for two LVNs programs Galveston (waitlisted ill get rejected. they had two nontransferable classes I refuse to waist my time on) SanJac (rejected).. Oh well! I decided after I applied to them that I had to many good prerequisites to go LVN..
Hey, just take a deep breathe, don’t get too anxious, I haven’t registered yet but I think as far as you insert the schools code you should be fine. But on the website it says evolve and since we don’t want any future problems, just email the school and let them know what’s going on.

@Cookie_for Oh...okay. Thank you!

For the TEAS I used "ATI TEAS Study Manual 6th Edition" from the actual ATI store. I found it very useful although I used it along with lots of Quizlets the morning of the test lol. I felt like it didn't go more in depth in some stuff on the science section. Like for my test I got a couple of hormone questions and the book didnt go into that but the quizlets did. Other than that the book served its purpose pretty much and covered everything and I knew what to expect content wise and question format wise and I'm proud of the grade I got even though it's not too high lol.
I do not know how it's done at other testing centers, but HBU has two options to choose from; one with critical thinking and the other without it. The costs differs as well. I chose the one with critical thinking since it consists of all the subjects the schools I'm applying to requires.

hey, so I'm applying to Ut health, Texas woman's university and Sam Houston state university. I honestly feel like I've set myself up for rejection lol. cause these schools are so competitive but I've noticed that they even reject those with really good GPA's, So it's worth a try. I don't know how they select. it's times like this, I wish I was a three-eyed raven.
