This thread is for anyone taking Holistic health assessment on-line at UTA starting Jan 14th 2013. Hopefully we can get a good thread going in order to provide support for each other as we go. The more students who participate, the better it will be for everyone.
Yes, make sure you are not using the same diet, coldspas, etc. each time, although some of the history questions are redundant.I hear you Meriwhen. My son is VERY ritualistic with a mild form of ASD. I should have used him for my Health Assessment, but doing a physical on him would have been painful for me more than taking that class.
I didn't use the son either because he wouldn't have tolerated such in-depth assessments very well: in addition to the ASD he's a bit on the hyperactive side...and he would not have been a good historian either.
The better half was a far more compliant subject. All I had to do was bake a cake every week and I got a willing participant :)
Announcement last night said the Week #1 quiz is available for review, but I can't find it. clicked on the quiz folder and it is empty; clicked on the Grade folder and all it says is that i took the quiz on a certain date, looked on the DB, not there, either. anyone know where this might be?
Hi ScarletFire here's how to access the quiz:Go to: Grades
Scroll down to & click: Week 1 quiz
Then click the grade you received, under "calculated grade"
And it should take u to the answers.
Hope this helps! :)
chicagoRNlove,
Thank you so much! I would never thought to click on the number itself.
Thanks, I am glad that you brought that up:) did you copy and paste and anterior and posterior thorax?I wouldn't do that, because it'd be dishonest unless your patient eats the very same thing every Tuesday like my autistic son does. Even then, it'd still stick out and raise an eyebrow.Just get a quick summary of what they've eaten over the last 24. If your subject happens to be a family member and you happen to be the family cook, you know what they're eating and can fill in most of the blanks :)
