Hey guys! I couldn't find a forum for Fall 2021 applications at UT Arlington so I decided to create one! I hope to connect with others who are going through the waiting process.

Hi guys, I’m thinking of applying next year, but I have a question about GPA. I have a bachelor degree, but I did poorly on my first 2 years and as a result have grades I’d like to replace. So my question is, for GPA do they include your first grade and second grade or do they take the last earned grade for the course? For example let’s say I had a C in A&P 1 and retook it and got an A, would they take the A and factor it into my GPA or would they take both and average those together? I just want to get my ugly grades dropped by retaking.

Those of you who didn’t get in… FYI tarrant county has a RN-BSN agreement with a few universities. Cost is cheap and you’ll be getting your BSN while getting your ADN. I was denied from UTA and TWU with a 3.6 GPA and an 87 TEAS score. I started tarrant county’s ADN program concurrently with MSU (all online) in fall 2020. I’ll graduate in May with my ADN and then graduate in August with my BSN! Totally worth it! Don’t get discouraged that UTA didn’t accept you! I’m so thankful I was rejected bc I found this program instead!

is this at collin college? I was trying  to look into this for maybe by back up's back up plan.
