Hey guys! I couldn't find a forum for Fall 2021 applications at UT Arlington so I decided to create one! I hope to connect with others who are going through the waiting process.

I just applied for the campus based fall 2021 and now we play the waiting game. I have a 3.37 overall GPA and a 3.25 science GPA (Chemistry killed me). I have a previous Bachelor's Degree and I am a vet. My overall score is 7.62. I've been reading through the other forums from previous years and the scores are ALL. OVER. THE. PLACE.
Some people seemed to have been accepted with scores at around 7 and other have been waitlisted with scores over 8. So who knows?!!?!
Did you apply for the Summer start as well? I have 3.56 overall and 3.5 science. I too am a vet, I've taken 30 credits, Patho and Pharm are complete so an 8 with priority or another consideration putting me at 8.5. I'm so nervous!
I didn't apply to the Summer program, but I think I may end up changing it. If I put that I am interested in the Summer program, does that take me out of the running for the fall program? I am BEYOND nervous!
Right now, I live in KY and I was planning on attending a nursing program here, but husband is retiring, so we are moving back to Texas. UTA wasn't even on my radar until recently, so I've been playing catch up. It seems to be an incredible program...and also incredibly competitive.
It doesn't take you out of the running for fall, but if you wanted to apply for the AO program then you can't apply for Summer. Is UTA the only school you're applying to? I think the area is great for UTA and I heard good things about the program. Have you taken Patho or Pharm yet? I loved those classes.
UTA is the only school with a BSN near enough to where we are planning on living that I can commute to without an hour and a half drive. ? TCU is actually a LOT closer, but the Hazelwood Act doesn't cover tuition there. I am taking Patho starting in a few weeks and Pharm in the Summer.

I just got done reading a bunch of things posted for the past few cohorts and I'm in full freak out mode. I have an overall GPA of 3.75 and a science GPA of 4.0. I have a previous Bachelor's as well giving me a total score of 8.25. The advisor I spoke to said I had competitive score but based on what I've seen I have no idea what "competitive" means. It seems like the only thing I'm competitive for is the waitlist since I'm not partnered. I had my heart set on the AO program but now I'm thinking about switching to the campus based since it's easier to get into. I have no idea what to do.. I also have a few more immunizations to get. Have you done your fingerprinting already?

I didn't know that there was a Summer start. When I submitted my application I only saw campus based for the fall and the AO for the fall.

Hey guys , do y’all know how long it took them to respond to your admission to the university itself because for some reason mine is taking longer even though they have all my transcripts & info:(
It took a couple months. I applied in June but couldn’t start taking classes until October because they lost a transcript of mine and then took forever to evaluate them for credit. It took several back and forth emails to get things sorted out.

Yeah , they say they had all my information but they have been evaluating for almost the whole month of dec. and the deadline for the nursing is the 15th. I take my TEAS today which isn’t a problem but yeah kinda sucks RN

Same thing is happening to me. I've sent in both my application to the school and the transcript. I've contacted them a couple times and they have told me it should take 7-10 business days to process the transcript. I am nervous I won't get admitted in time to apply to the program, but that's on me for applying late. Let me know if you hear back before Friday!

I applied for the online Fall 2021 start. I think my score is a 7.6 ( I have a 3.4 overall GPA + 3.25 science GPA, and got the P2 priority for high grades in Patho and Pharm). I feel better about this application cycle than the last (I got waitlisted for the cohort that starts this month but at the time of that app deadline I still had several prereqs to complete and hadn't taken the TEAS since it was waived.) I'm definitely anxious to find out if I made the cut this time!
