UTA Fall 2021

Hey guys! I couldn't find a forum for Fall 2021 applications at UT Arlington so I decided to create one! I hope to connect with others who are going through the waiting process.

I wasn't aware of a Summer start option... I though all they had were the 2 starts per year... January (Spring) and August/September (Fall)?

Its new, I believe it started last year. On the top of the campus fall application there is a question asking if you're interested in Summer start.

I started a forum for BSN AO Fall 2021 because I hadn't seen this one yet! Sorry guys! I am a nervous wreck waiting for that e-mail. I can't believe we have to wait a whole month to know if we are accepted or not... I am partnered, completed patho (UTA doesn't accept my pharm from Hill College so I am enrolled for it somewhere else right now) so I have a consideration, and 3.0 for both GPA's. I'm about to start my second semester of LVN school and I'm hoping I can distract myself with that instead of worrying about this application process. I have never stressed so much over an application before. I wish everyone luck! I hope everyone stays in touch so we can be communicating when it gets closer to time so we know when they start to send out the emails. LOL

One more thing just out of curiosity, is anyone in this thread employed at Parkland?

Is anyone else waiting on UTA to send their info to the BON? I've heard there have been Covid delays on the BON side, and I'm worried about receiving my blue card in time. Wasn't sure if anyone else was in the same boat?

Yup I had the same issue. I sent my original email November 5th. I never got an email from IdentoGo so I sent a follow up email to CONHI November 30th asking what was going on and if my information was even sent. A week after that I received a very rude email back saying not to email them because they get too many emails a day and my information was sent. I got my IdentoGo email December 11th and had my fingerprints done December 22nd. On January 5th I sent the BON an email asking them how long their turn around is. I was told the following:

If you completed your fingerprint after 12/01/2020, please allow 15 business days from todayfor your results to be reviewed and for the blue card to be mailed out.

If you are still in need of your blue card/clearance letter, and you completed your fingerprint prior to 12/01/2020,  please respond with identifying information and a valid mailing address. Allow 15 business days for a response.

You've completed Intro to Nursing right? They should have sent your info to BON while you were in that course.

Hey y’all, I’m not sure if anyone might know but based on the immunizations required: For Hep B, I already have 2 out of the 3 shots and have received a positive titer. I can’t wait for the third because it’ll be passed the deadline. Will it be accepted?

How far out is the 3rd? Maybe since you have a positive titer you can just submit that in place of your shot record of Hep B and then get the 3rd shot when it is due.. If you want to be safe I'd email BSN immunizations though.

LOL, no worries. I just emailed the immunizations department about my situation. Hopefully they’ll be willing to take it. Fingers crossed???

Hello everyone! I have also applied for the 2021 Fall start. I previously applied in the Summer of 2020 but was told that my 7.3 was not competitive. I was also going to be late for my titers so I withdrew my application. I went and retook Chemistry to improve my GPA and have taken patho as well. So with the patho consideration and my improved GPA, I think I'm right at an 8.1. I have a 3.75 science GPA and a 3.9 overall. I'm currently taking pharm, so I'm hoping that if I'm waitlisted, an A in pharm might save me? I have no other considerations so I'm pretty nervous.
