I feel like we can’t share stats unless we also share where our clinical locations are. I felt like my stats were kind of low compared to others’ stats but it was where I picked my clinical site. My score was an 8.1 and I picked Longview as my top choice. Not partnered or anything. But if I had chosen Dallas, I would’ve needed to be partnered to get in with my score.

I’ve been accepted for the AO program

I feel like many factors need to be considered. Not just total points, but also priority, and locations. I think I got in with a lower score because I only selected less saturated locations.

It was for AO. I believe it was because I selected a less competitive clinical site than others did.

I’ve been accepted for AO. I’m thinking I was accepted because I put Longview as my first choice instead of hard to get in places like Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio.

Has everyone already got their BLS certification? I thought I remembered reading that it had to be completed before the start of the program?

I don’t believe they ever actually send out denials. You’re either accepted or waitlisted. And I think the first round of applicants that are on the waitlist will be accepted within a couple weeks when some of the accepted are unable to produce proof of immunizations.

Does anyone know when orientation normally happens? I’ve tried looking for it and don’t see anything. I just have a trip planned towards the end of the Summer and I’m hoping they don’t happen around the same time.

Hopefully under 900?‍♀️

I heard that there were over 900 applicants last fall. I think that’s why it was so competitive, but I’ve also seen that the most competitive semester is for the fall start program so there may be more that have applied this time.

I was worried about this also. Apparently it doesn’t show up there but the email that was sent out to confirm our application had been submitted is supposed to be our receipt of submission.
