UTA Fall 2021

Has anyone here applied in the past or is this your first time? Also it is pretty quiet on this forum compared to other application cycles, maybe that's a good thing?

I noticed that, too. Previous cohorts several pages leading up to the deadline, and here we are a month from selection with just a few of us. 

As for your question, this is my first application cycle.  Finished the science and psych pre-reqs over the last year at UTA.  Applying to a couple of other programs in the area as well.

Still making plans on how to finance this. I hate debt but even three 12-hour shifts a week at a partnered facility may be a bit difficult to handle scheduling wise. 

I think its crazy how little activity is this year on all nurses... I had joined a groupMe for UTA fall, but quickly got off of it because everyone was chatting about random things and it was blowing up my phone too much. There are plenty of applicants this year, just not on this platform.

Could you give us an estimate on how many people were on the GC for Fall 21 so we can see how good our chances are/ how competitive it’ll be?

I have had to mute the GM too, so many redundant questions that students should already know the answers to before applying. I am going to guess there is likely about 5-600 hundred applicants based on the number of applicants in the previous cohorts. I really don't like that they make it so secretive, I mean the application deadline is over so they obviously know. 

Hey guys. Did anyone else who applied to UTA happen to apply to Texas State? I haven't found a forum yet with people who applied there!

I didn't know Texas State had an accelerated program, the only other accelerated program that is similar to UTA is TTU.

Ah correct, I don't believe they do. I just applied for their regular 2 year program!

Partnered and have a consideration for having Patho done. They don't recognize my Pharm from Hill there so I'm redoing it at DCCD.

Partnered at a hospital in DFW.  Extra points should be coming from previous degree ad 12 natural science credits at UTA (A&P 1 + 2 and micro). 

@shrugsoup same here regarding points and considerations, I have priority ranking but I am unfortunately not partnered.
