UTA Fall 2013

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.

I haven't been called...yet. I'm still keeping hope. This is my second time getting waitlisted. I live in the DFW area and I'm partnered with Cooks.

I am wait-listed and I have no considerations. I know how you feel. I finished all my classes. I lost my dad last year. I have my HHA and I work two jobs. But, I know in the end it will be worth it. Just keep hope and know that everything happens for a reason. You might want to check MTView their nursing program is really easy to get into.

Really? That is awesome. I am looking at the site and it looks like everyone is in the Houston area. When in June did you get called off? And what hospital did they put you with?

I got a call on June 8th. I was super excited. I was offered Longview or Denison. I picked Denison since it is closer. Good luck!

Good luck! We r enrolled in orientation now, and there are a lot of things like immunization, drug screen, background... If anyone failed to complete any of it by August 16th, he/she will be out. So u still have a chance:) I hope I'll get everything done. Lol.

That's what I have to keep telling myself. I have two jobs as well. One at Cooks and one at THR with a wonderful baby boy on the way :) I also applied to TCU for the Fall and was waitlisted. And was accepted at Southwestern for Spring 2014 but I'd rather start in the fall with either TCU or UTA.

Southwestern is a great school! Congrats! I also have 2 kids: 3.5 yo and 9 months old. Online program is really convenient for me. When r u expecting your baby? Congrats btw:))

Where is Southwestern? And what are the requirements!

I believe she was talking about UT Southwestern in Dallas. It is very good school and very competitive but they do not have online program.

Do you have to work their in order to get in?

I am referring to Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, TX. It is an on campus program. I've heard good things about their BSN program but it isn't cheap. It's private school pricing and they only take transfer students for their nursing program that starts every spring.

Oh and my due date is July 15th. :)

Congrats! My friend actually goes their. She said they helped her with scholarships. I was wondering is too late to apply??
