  1. Congrats on your acceptance! I'm Jr 1 now, and let me tell you it is not hard but VERY time consuming! You have to stay on top of everything. There is no time to catch up. We have students with precious bachelor degrees in biology, chemistry, etc. They say it is nothing they have ever experienced before! It is a marathon. No weekends, no nights out, no life. BUT.... It is just 15 months:))) You can do it! Good luck to you all!
  2. I'm going to start the program next month. Ill be in Texoma, Denison. Very nervous:)) Can u tell me how was jr1?
  3. I applied to the AP BSN program. I was not partnered. I'm not sure how competitive campus program.
  4. I was admitted to the fall 2013. My overall GPA was 3.87, my science was 3.75. I had 2 considerations: 12 science credits were taken in UTA, and more than 30 prereqs were taken in UTA. I was wait listed but the spot became available and I was accepted. I know there were many students wait listed, and only a few got accepted. It is very competitive. I would definitely recommend you to retake one or more science courses. Good luck!
  5. I believe she was talking about UT Southwestern in Dallas. It is very good school and very competitive but they do not have online program.
  6. Southwestern is a great school! Congrats! I also have 2 kids: 3.5 yo and 9 months old. Online program is really convenient for me. When r u expecting your baby? Congrats btw:))
  7. Good luck! We r enrolled in orientation now, and there are a lot of things like immunization, drug screen, background... If anyone failed to complete any of it by August 16th, he/she will be out. So u still have a chance:) I hope I'll get everything done. Lol.
  8. I got a call on June 8th. I was super excited. I was offered Longview or Denison. I picked Denison since it is closer. Good luck!
  9. I got called off in June. I live in Grand Prairie. I'm not partnered. I do have 2 considerations.
  10. I understand. I hope everything will go smooth with UTA, and i will see u soon at texoma medical center :)))
  11. I got a call on June 10. That was a great news:)) I'm so glad I found another person from DFW:) where do u live in DFW? I'm in Grand Prairie. We should definitely carpool sometimes. What school u were in before u got a call? That should definitely help u in this intense accelerated program.
  12. I have not received anything yet. I emailed clinical coordinator, and she said to wait for the email. I'm a little nervous too:)
  13. I was offered Longview and Denison just yesterday:)) I live in DFW as well, and that's why I chose Denison which is closer. I guess you were next on the list that's why you got Longview. It is quite a drive but if I wasn't offered Denison I would go with Longview as well. I wouldn't want to take my chances and wait for the opening in DFW. Good luck!
  14. I have just accepted the spot in Denison. They also offered in Longview but it is almost 3 hours drive compare to 1.5 hour to Denison. So I'll start this fall. I don't know anything about clinicals yet, waiting for the email.
