  1. eturner, thanks for the info. I will check into it. From the few programs I have looked at so far, the prerequisites seem to be very different, so it makes it hard to apply to several places simultaneously.
  2. Thanks. After reading some of the other threads, I concluded that I definitely need to retake at least 1 science class. NSUTA, did you apply for both campus-based and online programs? Do you have a sense of which is more competitive?
  3. I am planning to apply for the 15-month accelerated online BSN program at UTA in January for Fall 2014 admission. I don't work for a partner hospital, and I know those applicants get priority. I do have a B.S. in Biomedical Science, so that gives me priority, but the admissions staff won't tell me what that means specifically. They also won't tell you what the typical cutoffs are for Natural Science and Overall GPA for admission. I was told that you have to have 3.5 or better on both to be "competitive." A friend was told 3.75. If my Science GPA is 3.56 and my overall GPA is 3.73, what are my odds of getting in? I can retake one of the science classes to bring a B to an A, but I don't want to do it if I don't really need to. (It would bring my GPAs to 3.81 for Sci and 3.82 overall.) I really want to do the accelerated program, but should I apply to the campus-based program also? Would anyone that was admitted to UTA BSN program, either online or campus based, be willing to tell me what their GPAs were? Anyone that was rejected?
