UTA Fall 2013

Published

I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.

Yes I have taken it..... and I also have gotten my BLS out of the way. Now I need to work on studying for my Patho final and history final... and then just study for my TEAS V. I will apply to UTA in June, but I am really hoping to get into TTU. They are my first, second, and third choice... :nurse:

For the first time you'll need all in class, for renewal BLS course work can be done online and skills def. must be done in person. I'm waiting till close to start time to renew mine

I just signed up for the course to take it within the next week and my course has an online portion to be done before the skills part. Did you get this info from a UTA policy or something?

LOL. I've been running around like crazy trying to get all of my ducks in a row and study for Microbiology. Not a fan of the class AT ALL. The prof deliberately tries to trick students on the exams. I could go on and on. I need to schedule a day to get my BLS cert. Other than that, I think I'm good to go. Oh, I never did contact the school about my background check being completed...I should probably get on that.[/quote']

I emailed my advisor about checking on the background check status and she said she won't log on until may 10. As long as you listed UTA and got a confirmation you are fine

Hi

I took mine winter mester class 2011 it was a 2 week class and it went well, plenty of exams, but direct, made an A!! I think it depends on the instructor, some make it fun, others make it hard.

Good Luck!!!

Who did you take??

No not from their policy, I found I learned a lot more doing it in person, especially for a first timer when I did mine back in the day :-)

Who did you take??

I took mine at a cc I can pm you with the name of the college and professor if you like, she's pretty good, let me know and I'll send you the info

That makes sense. I have found another session that consists of classroom instruction for the whole time. Thanks for the tip!

Hi

sent you an email :-)

2 week class?? Wow! That is short. Mine Is 8 weeks, I think?

When I read the AHA website, it said that first time students could do the course work online and meet with an instructor for the skills portion, but I am just going to do it all in the class. There is a place 5 min from my house that does it. I believe it's a 4-1/2 hour class.

Yeah I know, I loved it as I was taking pharm and interpersonal comm at the same time, that year (2011) I finished 10 classes in one semester :-) (Anatomy I & II, microbio, chem, pharm, intp comm, stats, algebra, psych and lifespan and dev (was preparing for another school then discovered I was pregos, lol, meanwhile school already accepted me, but was too expensive, then I discovered UTA AP BSN, so here I am) :-)
