I am going to go ahead and apply to a couple other colleges but those transition programs wouldn't start until end of May (start once a year) so I figured I would have time to reapply to UTA. Letters for last Fall 2011 class came 1st week of May so plenty of time to wait it out...haha! I am also considering going ahead and applying for the traditional UTA program as well?!? Just not sure yet...
@BJBAILEY...did you ever find out where you are on wait list? Still praying you all are called!!
I never found out where on the wait list I am...but I am hoping near the top - if not the #1 spot...haha...
I agree...apply, apply, apply - then you can pick and choose the one that is the best for you.
Are you in the Dallas area? If so, go check out Baylor's site and send me an email and I will see if I can help you connect with the hiring manager...
my science gpa is a 3.0
my overall gpa is a 3.25
I took 2 of my sciences at a community college over the summer and got a B. Im taking micro this fall and im going to end up with a B. I"m taking a&p 2 next semester. Im registering for the traditional program.
My gpa is so low compared to you guys. I dont know if i have a chance of getting in the program. :/ Im thinking about applying to the honors program. What do you guys think?

You know the sad thing is that these are good grades, but we all twist ourselves into pretzels if we don't do better. I don't want to be down, Papple, but I would really consider retaking your sciences if finances and timing make it possible. I cannot stress enough how important it is to make A's in your sciences and as many A's as possible in the other prerequ's. Even those who have really high GPA's still have difficulty being accepted. I'm sorry, I am not trying to be discouraging, just honest. I hope you are not offended.
Your chances also increase if you are working for a hospital that partners with the program. This will help a lot. Threads for prior semesters have shown that some with lower GPA's get accepted and they are employed by a partner hospital, so that provided the help when their grades may have it impossible to get in otherwise.
Alternatively, what you might also consider is going to LVN school and then doing an LVN to RN bridge program. From there, you can then later do an RN to BSN bridge.
Studentjen07: Are you not able to access your scores from the Elsevier site? If so, I would simply print it out and send it. If not, you can try calling Elsevier to ask them about how to get them sent.
I was able to find this on the site:

Hey all, I thought I would set up a place to discuss the next application period for UTA's Fall 2012 nursing program. There was so much info in the Spring 2012 forum, thought it might be helpful to start a new thread...
