UTA BSN & AO BSN - Fall 2019

Published

Hello, all!

I am currently preparing to apply for both the BSN (on campus) and AO BSN programs at UTA, to begin in the Fall of 2019 - I am also applying to TWU's program, as well as two ADN programs.

So far, the only question I have is can I begin taking the Pre-Nursing courses (Intro, Pharm, Patho) after the application deadline? I believe I've read that I can, but I just want to be sure. I am still in the process of completing a few pre-requisite courses and might not get to these in time for the application deadline. Thanks in advance!

Best of luck to everyone!

**UPDATE**

I found the answer to my question, sorry!

Fall '19 applicants (or anyone) feel free to add general comments/questions!

I'm applying for on campus!! have you taken the TEAS????

Awesome! Are you applying to any other programs, at other schools? I haven't taken the TEAS yet. I plan on taking it, possibly at the end of the summer. Have you completed all of the pre-reqs?

I was thinking about applying to TWU, but to be completely honest I don't know what requirements are necessary for me to actually apply! is it the same as UTA? I'm hoping to take the TEAS at the end of the summer too! I still need AP2 and microbiology in the fall but once I'm done I'm going to apply!! :)

I am also applying to TWU... and TCC's ADN program. The requirements are quite different. The pre-reqs are about the same, with the exception of a few classes, but TWU requires that most be completed before you apply. It also depends on your considerations (prior bachelors degree, etc.). Also, TWU uses a points system. If you'd like to exchange emails, I can send some helpful info and/or guide you on where to find it. I'm taking AP1 this summer and AP2 and Micro in the fall as well. I'm super nervous! Where will you be taking your classes?

at UTA!! how about you?? yes, so am I!!!! I'm really anxious! and that would be awesome! [email protected] !!!!!

Hello!

I also plan to apply to both UTA's on-campus and accelerated online nursing program, along with both Brookhaven and Mountain View ADN program. I have put some thought into applying to TWU as well but haven't really looked much into it. From what it looks like, I won't be able to finish up my pre-reqs fast enough to apply to Fall'19 to either of the programs.

Hi!

Awesome! Yeah, TWU's pre-req requirements are just a bit different. Have you taken your TEAS yet, savannwin? Are you currently a UTA student?

I'm applying for Fall 2019 AO program, I'm currently taking Patho and then have to take the TEAS this fall.

Hey guys I am glad I found this post. I am also planning to apply to the Fall 2019 online program, but I am really scared because my GPA is not that great, I have a 3.6 GPA in my nursing pre-reqs, and a 3.1 Overall GPA. My goal was to apply for this coming spring 2019 but I lost track of time and never applied to the school and I haven't taken the TEAS either. I have taken all of my science courses at DCCCD, I just finished with Microbiology, and I am planning to take statistics and Nutrition this summer, since I am also planning to apply to TWU and they require nutrition. What guides are you guys using to study for the TEAS ? also do I need to apply into UTA first and get admitted before applying into the Nursing program next year?

Hi Yajaira04,

I am also thinking of applying at TWU, do you think you can also email me the info the you have I will truly appreciate it. I know with TWU the want you to have all of the pre-reqs met before applying including, Psychology (lifespan), Statistics and nutrition, I think that is what it differs from UTA right?

I have not taken my TEAS/HESI yet. I was planning to apply to UTA for the spring and take the nursing classes during the summer maybe.
