UTA APBSN Fall 2010

Published

Hey everybody!

I just got my acceptance letter for the september 20th start date so just wondering if any of my future classmates are out there. I'm really excited to start this journey with all of you! :)

Thanks for that, Mannan. I'm going to do that tomorrow. How did you feel after all of those shots?? Kind of afraid.

So I got all of my shots at Dallas County Health Services. $70 for them all, and I had virtually no wait. More expedient and wayyyy cheaper than going to the doc.

On the other hand, I don't feel so well and my arm is sooo sore. My childhood records are mia, but I probably could have passed with titers of most of these. I couldn't afford them, however, so this was the way to go for me.

Thanks again for the advice!

Oh, I never answered about my stats. My science GPA was a 3.6. My prerequisite GPA was a 3.5. My overall was barely a 3.0, but I don't think they used that one (thankfully).

HESI cumulative was 95.4%. My worst was grammar, which is kind of sad since I have a BA in journalism/English.

Just curious if any of you did the enrollment payment plan.. I thought we would get access to our classes on EPIC once we've paid for our classes but I don't see anything yet. This tuition thing is killing me!

Hi everyone. This is a weird question but can you guys tell me what kind of background check UTA required, do they go through that Group One background agency everyone complains about? Where you also fingerprinted? Thanks!

Yes, it's Group One but there was no fingerprinting involved. I just applied and paid online through their website and it was clear within a week.

Did anyone who's previously gotten into the UTA AP Online BSN Program partnered hospital as Texas Health Resources? If so, what was your GPA prior to being accepted into the program? Any helpful information will be greatly appreciated!

Hi all, I am applying in Jan for the Sep 2011 start. I am accepted to the Nursing Program here in Lone Star Kingwood, and only had to take the Comp and math for the HESI, what are the grammer, vocab and learning styles parts all about? Were they hard, so i need to study, or common sense like the math and comp? Thanks a bundle

Heather

Hi Heather,

I would take a day to study grammar and vocab to be safe. Grammar was toughest for me, but I still scored a 90. Others did well without much effort. Either way, these sections are nothing to stress about.

By the by, I highly recommend the program. :-)

Best wishes to you!

Thanks so much I appreciate the info, I have the yellow book and the blue book...which do you recommend? If you know what I am even talking about lol... And are you already in the program, I can not recall. I read some reviews about UTA and they were terrible aweful and now that has me worried. BUT MOST SEEMS LIKE PETTY CR@P so I guess we will see huh. have you taken the onlinbe courses from them, how were they if you have. i responded to some diffferent posts and cannot remember exacly which you were from lol.. Thanks
