Uta ap bsn - fall 2014

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

I just wanted to start a new thread for all of the applicants for Fall 2014.

I applied to the online and on-campus, but would really prefer online.

I'm not partnered though, so I have that against me.

My stats:

3.6 overall

4.0 science

2 considerations: 30 hrs @ UTA & previous bachelors

This will be a career change for me.

Good luck to everyone who applied!

I'm not partnered, only had 4 hours accounted for at uta. (By next week I'll be up to 13, of course.)

Man, I'm bummed. I just can't win!! I failed at Excelsior clinicals twice (screw that place!) I'll have to email my advisor to see where I lacked "ranking", as they say.

They look at the science GPA and the overall GPA of the prerequisites. Your advisor should have sent you a prerequisite progress form showing what classes they took to fill which requirements and the grades they have for each of those classes.

They usually have an information session at some point to talk about what the criteria they used to make the decision, how many applicants there were and how many they accepted. People on other forums have said it's pretty informative.

well congrats to you!

Awesome! Congratulations!

I got in too! Checked my email today - I can't believe it :)!!! Now I just gotta make sure I do well on my Patho and Pharma finals this weekend!

I'm in Pharm right now too! Is Patho easier? I take that in May. It will be my last pre-req.

they are both pretty easy, from the lvn standpoint. finals in both this weekend.

Congrats to all who got accepted!! I just checked my email and learned that I have been wait listed. My stomach is literally in knots now knowing that I have more waiting to do. I am hoping that I will be accepted, but if not...I will just have to apply again for 2015 Spring start. Wish I knew more about the wait list and how many there are, my ranking, etc.

@Sfolsom I found it easier to understand patho, a lot of concepts are from AnP2. Pharm on the other hand was almost entirely new information for me - but it was still a fun course! You will do great in patho, it's the easier of the two in my opinion!

Hi for those waitlisted, please contribute to this google doc made by utamav6072, so we may all see what the spectrum of those waitlisted are.

Does ANYONE know how the "considerations" work? It seems like everyone is in the dark, including myself.
