This thread is for those aspiring to join UT-TYLER BSN on Spring 2021
Updated: Published
I decided to create this thread for Spring 2021, UT-TYLER BSN. I will finish all my pre-requisites in the Summer and do my Pathophysiology in fall at UT-TYLER. My TEAS I will do during the week between Summer and fall. Here are my breakdown.
Every class I have a 4.0 GPA and I am trying to maintain on that.
Hi,
I want to make sure the Castle Branch thing..
I asked my adviser about the due date and she said, "CastleBranch is not due until you are admitted to the BSN program. You will receive your decision letter in mid-October, so anything done before then is well before it is due."
Does it mean should I start the process now?
But I read a post that says it's due before the semester starts?
I want to wait until I get to know if I'm in or not.. Is this possible?
How long does the process take? I have Hep B titer, so other shots (not sure what are the immunization list though) would be ready quickly once the admission result comes, I guess...
Is there any advice for me? Thank you.

My GPA is about 3.2 and my nursing GPA is 3.5 and my TEAS was a 71.
Can you apply at all 3 of them separately?
Hey everyone! I’m a bit late, but I’m (hopefully) applying for Spring 2021 as well. I recently found out I didn’t get pulled up from the waitlist for SHSU fall 2020 so I had limited time to plan for Spring & I don’t know very much. I talked to an advisor and she claimed I have a good chance, but SHSU said that also & I didn’t get in LOL! I’m taking a basic biology class and a speech class through SHSU this fall to possibly help my GPA & to complete the speech class required. My stats:
Overall GPA: 3.65
Nursing pre-req: 3.71
TEAS composite score: 83.3%
& if I get accepted to the school in time to apply for the program, I’m going to take Patho online at UTT. Does anyone know how long the castlebranch/drug screening stuff takes? Is it due WITH the application? I’m worried about paying for it and not getting accepted in time to apply, but I don’t want to miss the deadline either.
Lastly, does anyone have any pointers for the video portion? & Good luck to everyone!! ?

I had a GPA of 3.5 nursing and 3.1 for my overall and a 69 for my TEAS this Fall. I also did not have patho. So, I think it's doable for Spring. Do you guys have any friends that are in the program? I want to know if I should buy the textbooks or wait until first day of class.
Good evening,
I would really appreciate your help if you can respond to this post. I am interested in applying to UTT in the Summer. Which of the UTT campus did you get into, (Tyler; Longview, Palestine) please?
Your acceptance is giving me hope to apply, I was about to give up on Nursing when I saw your post

Does anyone know if there's a deadline to have our castle branch done ? Do we have to have it done before the deadline ?
