This thread is for those aspiring to join UT-TYLER BSN on Spring 2021
Updated: Published
I decided to create this thread for Spring 2021, UT-TYLER BSN. I will finish all my pre-requisites in the Summer and do my Pathophysiology in fall at UT-TYLER. My TEAS I will do during the week between Summer and fall. Here are my breakdown.
Every class I have a 4.0 GPA and I am trying to maintain on that.
I got accepted for the Fall 2020 at the UT Tyler and my stats were not that great. I had a GPA of 3.5 nursing and 3.1 for my overall and a 69 for my TEAS this Fall. I also did not have patho. So, I think it's doable for Spring. Do you guys have any friends that are in the program? I want to know if I should buy the textbooks or wait until first day of class.
Did you start at UT Tyler as a freshman?
Thankss. Nope. I am a transfer student. I honestly think that got me in. There is a video on me on Youtube. I think the biggest advice to you is to be yourself. I think just listing achievements are a waste of time and just focus on the WHY you wanna become a nurse.
Congratulations. You may ask your advisor or I can ask someone who is in.
How did you do the video?
I think like I said above is to be yourself. My GPA and my TEAS were not good but my interview probably increased my overall points.
QuoteGreat! I am a transfer student too. I hope I get accepted. You also said you didn’t have Patho .. was it in progress or did not have it at all?
I am still in progress! So, I don't have it completed until August 10th, but I will start August 31st of this year in nursing school! Good luck for this Spring!

Well, hopefully I do get in the Spring. I didn’t get in the fall, but ima do better in my TEAS and do better in my video. I really want to get into the one in Tyler because it’s closer to me. If I don’t get into the Spring, ima have to apply to the one in Longview and Tyler in the Summer and try to commute ?
