  1. So for castlebranch, you submit them by a certain date when you get admitted. I got admitted for this Fall
  2. Thank you so much for the information; I will work hard to become a nurse.
  3. Oh okay thanks! Can you please explain me your story on how you became a nurse and your passion? And what led you to becoming an NP? I am just curious.
  4. Can you please explain why? I just wanted to get a greater insight on working before NP. Is it because of the experience and patho behind the diseases and how to treat these conditions. I know that theoretically learning most diseases on my own time and in school is not enough. Is that why?
  5. Yes. My other question here is that I have been doing a lot of research on the different types of NPs. There is acute care NP, women's health, and pediatrics. I really want to become an acute care NP because I love the feeling of stress in the ICU or the ER or OR. But I also want to do Pscyh NP bc I love helping people on a behavioral level. Since I am in an accelerated BSN program right now, should I go ahead and apply to these schools right out of nursing school? I also am wondering about post-masters program, how long do they take? Sorry, I know the outfit question was kinda ignorant of me. Or should I wait and work for a couple of years before entering NP school at all?
  6. So. I am going to be a nursing student this upcoming Fall but this question is for later in my life. I was wondering what do nurse practitioners wear on a daily basis? I just found out that nurse practitioners wear lab coats, is this true? Does this mean you can wear a lab coat when you are working at a clinic? Or does this only apply to like the place where you work and your employer's decision? Just curious and long way to go ?
  7. I don't think anyone has made any groupme since that is not allowed on this website. We can use the club thing for kind of like groupme https://allnurses.com/clubs/ this is allowed
  8. Hmm. I am not too sure. I think everything will be online this Fall except nursing skills. We have to go every week into school. I think it's a simulation lab but we do not go to the hospital. I think they do? I am not too sure, orientation is like a month, I can tell you by then
  9. I am still in progress! So, I don't have it completed until August 10th, but I will start August 31st of this year in nursing school! Good luck for this Spring!
  10. Did you start at UT Tyler as a freshman? Thankss. Nope. I am a transfer student. I honestly think that got me in. There is a video on me on Youtube. I think the biggest advice to you is to be yourself. I think just listing achievements are a waste of time and just focus on the WHY you wanna become a nurse. Congratulations. You may ask your advisor or I can ask someone who is in. How did you do the video? I think like I said above is to be yourself. My GPA and my TEAS were not good but my interview probably increased my overall points.
  11. I got accepted for the Fall 2020 at the UT Tyler and my stats were not that great. I had a GPA of 3.5 nursing and 3.1 for my overall and a 69 for my TEAS this Fall. I also did not have patho. So, I think it's doable for Spring. Do you guys have any friends that are in the program? I want to know if I should buy the textbooks or wait until first day of class.
  12. Hey guys. Those of you who got accepted to the program, are you guys buying the books separately or buying the books in the bundle? I did the calculation and amazon alone is more than buying than the bundle. The bundle is a lot cheaper but if you want to keep the books. Should I buy the bundle or should I wait and see?
  13. You get in like 1 second. So, after when you are done with your test, it shows your score. You then can access them on ATI website. You also may want to send them at the testing site.
  14. I wonder if you can ask your advisor what your ranking is. I am so surprised I got in. I honestly was going to just ignore this application cycle
  15. aaah ? I honestly, I don't know how I got in. I think maybe the video. Also, I did not do patho which made me more scared that I did not get in :(. IT'S OKAY! You have Spring! You will get in Spring!
