khan10 Jun 21, 2015 Am applying for spring 2016. All my prerequisites are almost done. I have Micro and A&P2 left to be Core complete for UT and TJC. You're welcome to join the forum if you're in the same boat with me. I have GPA of 4.0. My TEAS result is terrible but I will still apply . Reading 71.4 and math 90.Good luck to us. 0 Likes
katieejv Jul 16, 2015 I'm applying as well! I applied to UT Tyler like 2 weeks ago-- I am a graduate from UT Austin. Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back from admissions for the inititial school? 0 Likes
khan10 Jul 16, 2015 You should be hearing from them anytime soon. When I applied, they told me 2 weeks (10 business days). The process took less time. Have you sent in your transcript from UT Austin to UT Tyler admissions office yet? 0 Likes
katieejv Jul 23, 2015 Sweet! I just had to submit my vaccine record. I was accepted into UT Tyler & just submitted my NursingCAS application. My stats are.... 3.2 GPA, and 91% on TEAS V. Good luck to us! 0 Likes
khan10 Jul 23, 2015 Awesome !!!!!. I am sure you will get in. To the best of my knowledge, we don't have to submit vaccine record until we get accepted into the program. After September 15th, the waiting game starts. @ Katieejv, Did you apply for the Accelerated or Traditional program? 0 Likes
Emarie2 Jul 26, 2015 I am applying for the accelerated program for Spring 2016. Does anyone know exactly how their selection process goes? Do they look just at your nursing pre-req GPA? My GPA for just my nursing pre-reqs is 3.28 and my TEAS scores are Math 70 and Reading 88.1. I am scheduled to retake the TEAS to raise my scores. 0 Likes
khan10 Jul 26, 2015 @Katieejv, that's good. we are in the same boat. I went through the previous threads and from what I read, they start reviewing after the application deadline which is Sept 15th but will send out letters 4-6 weeks after deadline. @ Emarie2, the adviser told me during my advising session that they use Nursing pre-req which is a minimum of 3.0 GPA (this GPA is for accelerated only) and TEAS score of minimum 72% or higher in Reading and 64% or higher in Math. She also said that ONLY first attempted scores in TEAS are accepted. You met all the requirements and so should not have problems. This information is on their website too. How their selection process goes is what I do not know too. Lets cross our fingers and hope for the best. Edited Jul 26, 2015 by khan10 0 Likes
Annette1988 Aug 13, 2015 i applied for accelerated program spring 2016 intake and am left with two prerequisites which am doing this fall, do you think that will affect my admission to the program 0 Likes
khan10 Aug 13, 2015 I don't think so. I am in the same boat with you. You just have to complete everything and turn your grades in before the program starts. You can send an email to the advisor about it. She will tell you exactly the same thing. 0 Likes
Annette1988 Aug 13, 2015 Thank you. I just spoke to Tammie and she said same thing as you wrote. I appreciate 0 Likes

khan10 Aug 17, 2015 Hi Zeebz, welcome to the forum. You don't have anything to worry about as far as you meet all requirements. Hopefully, we all get in. Best of luck. I am! Well, I recently finished my NursingCAS and all the little, last to-dos for the application process. This worries me, but honestly with this summer I've had, drowning in my class load and working, it's been tough. I hope it doesn't affect me too negatively :/ 0 Likes
