UT Houston Summer 2017 FNP

Hello all,

Apologies if there is already a thread for this. I searched and couldn't find anything. Any UTHSC Houston Summer 2017 applicants?

I know it's early, but I submitted my application a few weeks ago!

I wonder if anyone can clear this up for me: Are admissions rolling? Or do they not make any admissions decisions until after the Priority deadline? The website sounds like it's rolling, but I'm unsure and curious.

I applied earlier this month. I believe they wait until after the priority deadline and start notifying of acceptance in myuth sometime in March. Good luck!! :)

From the UTHSC Website:

The Family, Adult/Gerontology - Acute Care, and Adult/Gerontology-Primary Care programs have moved to priority admission. Complete applications submitted by the priority deadline are guaranteed a faculty review and decision. Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed as enrollment capacity exists. Applications received after the priority deadline are not guaranteed review, however if they are not reviewed, they will be submitted for decision in the next application cycle.

The priority deadline for MSN/NP is January 1st.

Hello I applied to the adult-gerontology np program for summer 2017 and I am currently awaiting decisions. I called and they said sometime in March applicants will be notified. BLESSINGS TO ALL !!

Hi there, congrats on getting an interview. I have my interview Feb 2, i'm very nervous. How was your interview if you don't mind me asking? Also, what type of questions do they ask you?

Thank you! It really wasn't bad at all, there were two women and they were both very nice. They asked the usual interview questions... strengths/weaknesses, why am I a good candidate, that type of thing. No clinical questions tho so that's nice! :)

Crossing my fingers to find out sooner! I'm going nuts with this wait! She said they were going to be accepting only 50, I wonder how many applicants there were. I'll just be checking myuth religiously...

I have not heard anything back at all... no interview or letter.. I applied to utmb also so I guess I have to just wait!! Congratulations to you all that got interview!!

I'm sorry to hear that! The show is not over yet though! Did you apply to UTMB for fall? I didn't think they accepted for summer start?
