My holds or my status have NOT been updated yet! I have been stressing for 2 days, this is my second time around and I really don't want to do this again the anticipation sucks! :eek: I have just been telling myself that my utlink is just broken and that I should probably call and tell technical support or something!:uhoh3: Oh well, I am too old to be stressing this way and I can't concentrate in my classes or think of much more than this and that isn't fair to my 11 year old....I guess if this doesn't work this time I am just not meant to be a nurse but atleast I have 80 hours of college now! haha...I am hoping God has one more miracle left in him for me!

Sorinrae77 I know how you feel, this is my second time too and I think I did much better on the interview this year, I have medical experience now & my grades on my last couple classes were really good BUT I'm going crazy!!!!! haha The anticipation is killing, I really don't want to give up on my dream but I don't want to try to apply again and wait another year to hear something :( I know how you feel too about concentrating, I can't think at work & I'm fixing to start taking classes again so I can apply at some other schools that some how still want one more class than the million classes I already have lol Good luck hang in there!! Keep checking, I know I am but I'm with you I think my utlink is broken or stuck haha

Thanks guys, it is good to have you all to talk to! I love that everyone is getting in and I think everyone deserves it because we all work hard and we have all overcome to get to get here but I have to say it is also disheartening every time I see someone get an update and I am still sitting in the same place I was last time. It just brings back memories of last November when I think I was sure I was a shoe in. . . But....at this point I think I will go be more shocked and stand more in faith that God has heard me if I do get in.

Thank you all so much and please keep letting all of us know when you make it, I really do want to share in your joy and I would love for all the guests following this link to tell us as well when they get their acceptance! If we are all going to be classmates (As I have not given up yet and think I will still be your class mate) then I want to share in the moment your life changed too.

I will let you all know when I know or have a change and until then I will be cheering everyone else on! Because until I know I will silently be holding my breath in faith!

I'm so happy that I got in. I think this is such a huge turning point in my life, in all of our lives. I am finally going to be doing something. We are going to be nurses! It is soo exciting to even say!!! I can't wait to get the letter and frame it! (Corny I know)! Good luck to everyone still waiting! We all deserve it having worked our butts off for so long!!! :)

Sorinrae77, I remember thinking that me getting in was a long shot. I had told God that whatever happened I would always give Him praise as long as His will was done. When I finally came to accept that I wasn't getting in is when I found out I got accepted. Never give up hope or faith, I'll be praying for you and for everyone else who is waiting.

sorry i am a little late but yes my admission changed this morning.I had to work twelve hours today and went to class after that for another three hours and i am horribly exausted.I just finished a paper that was due by midnight.Anyway guys,i got provisional acceptance for those who needed me to confirm it.I will be seing u all in Aughust.u guys are the best and yes i saw the holds change yesterday but my status only changed this morning.

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted! I'm so excited to meet all of you this fall. We should get together for lunch or something a few weeks before classes start. For everyone still waiting to hear, I have my fingers crossed for you!

My husband and I are starting to look for apartments in Houston, since we live in Austin now. I grew up in the Montrose, so I love that area and would be happy to move back. I also want something near the metro rail because I ride a motorcycle and I'd need the rail on rainy/cold/lazy days. :) We can't move into the UT Student Housing since we have a cat, and I read online reviews that say apartments near it (without the benefit of UT police patrols) have lots of car break-ins, and I don't want that for my husband's truck.

Any recommendations?

Well based on my research yesterday, 100% of the people that had their holds changed got admitted the next day. As soon as I can get in, I will let you know about mine. Let's not lose hope.

Hi everyone!

I'm also new to the forum though I've probably been reading it for the last couple of months or so since interviews started and I'm on the Facebook group as well.

I just checked my UT Link (6:55AM where I'm at...) and found out that I got accepted too!! And I agree, obviously GPA is not everything because my undergraduate GPA was not so stellar. But here are my stats:

Overall GPA: 2.70

Science GPA: 3.50

Nursing prerequisite: 3.65

Net Composite: 88

Medical Experience: 4 years working at a doctor's office.

I got my B.S. in Psychology and I took my pre-reqs at the University of Houston and at Houston Community College simultaneously. And I'm currently in the process of finishing the last two pre-req classes I need.

But seriously, if you feel like you had a great interview then I'm sure it's just a matter of time! My undergrad GPA has always been a big fat blah in any admissions process and I really believed that it would be the one thing that held me back from getting admitted. If I can get in, so can y'all! I'll be praying for the rest of you!!

Oh, and my holds changed yesterday morning as well so for anyone whose holds have changed since you last checked, congrats you're most likely in!!
