GOOD LUCK, dm22!!

ok exactly when are they going to mail us about registration or some orientation we should be attending for more info about buying books, scrubs, classes, etc.? Because TWU already had theres like yesterday...and well we haven't really had much more communication with UT other than our acceptance packets.

I have been thinking the same thing. I really want to get things going and start buying whatever stuff I'm going to need.

Me too! I am going to call tomorrow morning and see if they can tell me anything. I have also been wondering about financial aid. Has anyone heard anything about theirs?

To the current UT Students:

Is it necessary for me to purchase an MP3 player / iPod if I already have a laptop? I'm assuming that anything that could go on the iPod, could go on my laptop? Thanks for your time.

You are correct. All you need to play the podcast lectures is iTunes which is a program you download onto your computer.

I can't really remember when we received all of the orientation information, but our scrubs are navy blue. We had to wear white shoes and I would suggest buying comfortable ones to wear! I only ever really used my penlight and stethoscope when assessing patients, all of the other nursy supplies are still sitting where I put them first semester.

The class of 2007 graduated this past Friday, which I was a part of! :balloons: Good luck to you all and feel free to PM me if you have questions.

Congrats TexasTac! Thanks for the info! :)

Congratulations TexasTac!!

So how is everyone planning on getting to school? ride the bus or train? or just drive in the traffic?

Anyone thinking of renting an apartment on or near campus? Let me know if you are considering of subleasing or sharing an apartment.

It looks like I will be riding the bus and taking the lightrail, unless I can find another way.... is anyone interested in carpooling?

I applied to university housing off el paseo, so hopefully I get in then i'll be able to take the shuttle.

i heard about those! but I also heard it was tough getting a spot there...popular choice for students I guess. I'm going to be staying at the Lanesborough and the location is great bc you can literally walk for 15 minutes and be at school...and the TMC Campus Trolley (which I hear is free for UT students??) is right in front of the complex. That has got to be a huge deciding factor for me...because the parking price is ridiculous!
