Hi Everyone!
I have been following this website for quite sometime in preparation for my application to CRNA school. I have learned some valuable tips and advices from a lot of the posts. I hope to be able to utilize them if given a chance to interview to one of the schools I applied to.
Anyone here applied for Fall 2016 CRNA program in UT Houston? I would love to hear from you guys! Im starting this thread as a support group/forum as we journey on and go through the anxieties/excitement of application and interview process.
Goodluck guys!

I applied to UTHSC Houston. Had some questions about my packet status. The CRNA program has no numbers except directly to faculty members who do not review application. Called multiple numbers and finally reached an admissions person in the SON. I asked about my application and this person was quite curt and stated that the website was self help. I made some additions that were suggested (I believe were outdated) and sent an email requesting feedback. Haven't heard anything back yet. Not a good first impression.
Hi there jdk2418!
I am sorry you had to experience that. I had some similar issues as well when I was only beginning to apply for the program. They are not as helpful as the other programs I've applied to. I've heard good things about the program from their alumni so I am hoping the application process is not a reflection of their actual program. Have you heard any tips/advices regarding getting an interview and what the interview process is like?

Unfortunately, I have no insider information of that nature. Based upon their published stats, they have an impressive pass rate for the past five years and very low attrition rate. Hopefully more people will see this thread and share different perspectives. Do you know when they start notifying applicants for interviews?
I hope so too! I know some people who graduated just last year and they said they usually start sending out notices a month after the deadline. So I am guessing maybe around November? I hope to get an interview, at least. This is my first time in applying for schools so I'm nervous and have no idea on what to expect.
Same here. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Thank you for applying to the Nurse Anesthesia program. We are currently reviewing all applications for the 2016 year. After reviewing all applications, selected applicants will be invited in to interview.
The interviews will take place on November 12-13, 2015.
Again, only those applicants selected for an interview will be notified of a specific date and time through a separate communication.

Thank you for posting! I got the email today as well.
If you happen to receive an invite for the interview can you let us know. At least so we know we didn't get invited. Thank you.
I received that same email. It will be interesting as I accepted a position for an out of state job starting that preceding Monday.
I will definitely keep you posted! Hoping to get the same update from you guys as well.Where are you from EVOXRN?
