UT Health Pacesetter Summer 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!

I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.

Stats:

HESI Overall: 92.4

Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88

Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0

Cumulative GPA: 3.41

My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!

I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).

Just saw my denial, although I was hopeful this is not the end all. I want to congratulate EVERYONE both accepted and denied, because the accepted are blessed with this opportunity and the denied (including me) are blessed to find out where our adventure will begin elsewhere. Remember everything happens for a reason and we may never know what that reason is.

Did you receive an email? Or your portal updated ?

Still no update or email on my end.

I got the Waitlist email at 11:34am!

Heres to hoping like, 10 people, would rather go to UTMB or TWU ???

No email/update on my end.

Does your application online say waitlist as well or still under review?

Still says under review!

Has anyone who has gotten accepted went to verify their identity at UT?

Hi Rachel a friend of mine that started in the spring semester told me to go to the schools clinic with all your immunization paperwork and they'll give you any boosters/titer tests you need. that they'll know what you need ? she also said to park in the UT physicians garage and the clinic is right next to it. she also told me to do this ASAP because it takes a while to review everything and get the hold removed, so do not wait until last minute. She also said orientation should be in about a month (about 6 weeks before classes begin).

thank you so much!!!! Is it okay doing the immunization at my doctor's office? I also got meningitis and Tdap two years ago at HEB and CVS. Is that acceptable as well?

I’m assuming that they are but don’t take my word. And as long as you have proof of the date you got the vaccines you should be ok! I’m going to use their clinic just because they’re familiar with what the school is expecting!
