Was waiting for someone else to make this thread, but I'm too anxious!
I am applying for the Summer 2019 application cycle at UT Health Science in Houston.
Stats:
HESI Overall: 92.4
Nursing Pre-req GPA: 3.88
Science Pre-req GPA: 4.0
Cumulative GPA: 3.41
My science Pre-req is excluding Chemistry. I'll be taking that in the Spring along with a few last minute pre-reqs. I have 2 F's in random classes on my transcript from a few year ago when I lost my mode of transportation. Unfortunately that's bringing my cumulative GPA down. Still feel like I have a shot though, so I am applying!
I'll also be applying for UTMB Fall 2019, Lone Star Fall 2019, and reapplying to UT Health Fall 2019 (if need be).

I know that’s probably not correct from previous forums but it’s definitely not something I wanted to hear. Can u imagine having to wait an extra month???
I’m sure we’ll hear back by the 15th the latest in case anyone wants to reapply for the Fall. That being said, I’m really banking on finding out by Friday! Fingers crossed!!

For example:
Apartment A - 5 minutes from uthealth $800-900/month
Apartment B - 20 minutes from uthealth $400-500/month
Hypothetically, if you had to pick, would u pick A or B?
If money isn't an issue, I would definitely live closer. Where are you going to park your car? It's like $200/month to park in the medical center. You'll also have to pay for gasoline and oil changes. What if there's traffic or something goes wrong with your vehicle? If you're 5 mins away, you can ride a bike or walk the majority of your days, and grab a Lyft if you are feeling tired. I'd definitely go with spending the extra $$$.

Yea I would take their “April 15th” thing with a grain of salt lol y’all may hear as soon as today but I’m betting on tomorrow!!!
I’ll be checking up as much as possible so I can make the facebook for everyone to start getting connected! ?
Try not to stress yourselves out TOO much, there’s plenty of time for that once school starts!!!!

Hi Kelsey I was wondering what your schedule is like as far as like class start and end times and how flexible they are on that? I will be commuting from baytown and would like to make plans ahead of time if I am accepted since I have kids!
Just wanted to send out one last GOOD LUCK to everyone! Hopeful that tomorrow is when they will start rolling out emails. For my own sanity I am going to try to stay off the forum until Monday, I don't want to get myself too worked up incase people get their answers before me, I don't want to be too attached to my phone.
There is one thing that could keep me from getting an acceptance this time around, so I unfortunately don't have the best idea of what my chances truly are. But I am hoping for the best for everyone and putting my faith in what is meant to be will work itself out!
Hi guys!! I just wanted to say good luck to all of you!! I'm applying for the fall so I was wondering when y'all get your results, if you could post your stats along with it. I just wanted to have an idea of what kind of stats UTH are accepting.
Thank you!!
Good luck again!!
These are my stats:
4.0 overall GPA
HESI: 94

Definitely will post my stats but honestly, there's no way of telling what gets their attention. I mean some with lower scores get in before some of the high scores. No one really knows what they look at exactly. I would love to know. Its not like we wrote anything unless you applied for the scholarship.

Yeah it seems like Fall semester is more based on grades because more 4.0 GPA students apply. But since Ut is also a Medical school, I bet they pick students like medical schools usually do. Try to look at the incoming student body as a whole and pick a range of individuals to bring diversity.

Hey!!
They’re really flexible about everything except for tests, labs and clinicals. Those are really the only things where times are pretty strict!
My schedule is this:
Monday: 7-8:50 Health Assessment lecture, 9:15-11:15 HA lab (there’s 3 different lab times being mine, 11:30-1:30 and 1:45-3:45! These are assigned but you’re given the chance to switch if you find another willing student!)
Tuesday: 9-12 Care 1 lecture
Wednesday: Pain and suffering from 9-12 for Pharm then 1-4 for Patho! Bring plenty of coffee and snacks y’all. I’m not kidding!!!!
Thursday is an off day! YAY SLEEP
Friday (for the first 5 weeks) is a clinical simulation class from 8-12, 8-10 being a “lecture” and 10-12 being a lab to prepare you for clinicals.

They basically have to say this date since it is the notification date on their website. But it is always before the date online. For the spring semester their date of notification was Nov 15 and acceptances went out Oct 22.
