I know its a bit early to start this forum seeing as the deadline is September 1; however, I wanted to have a place to communicate with all the people applying for the spring semester. we might be able to help each other out with information about deadlines, application status, plus its also nice to talk with people going through the same thing as you. I'll just start by introducing myself.
My name is Edera,
I am currently a senior in High School. I will be graduating High School with my Associate's degree, thanks to the dual credit classes I have been taking. When I finish High School I will have 40 of the 60 credit hours completed. I will be taking Chemistry, Microbiology, and Growth & Development in the Summer, and then Intro to Sociology, Statistics, and Nutrition in the Fall. I have yet to take my Hesi, I plan on taking it in June or August. I plan on starting the application this week.
Hope to see many of you here, so that we are able to help out one another. Good Luck everyone!!
hey Guys nice to meet you all, I have been accepted to UTHEALTH, AND I'M wondering about the next step to take. have yo done all ur background check yet?I hope we get to know each other ... good luck to any one waiting on the acceptance
Congrats and hi! Nice to meet you. I haven't done any of the requirements YET. Was waiting to hear back. Now that I have been accepted...its time to get my immunizations and background check and all that good stuff
I hadn't checked my UT portal for days since I was assuming they'd be accepting people on a Thursday lol. I got an email at 4:36 saying I was accepted! Now I have to decide between HBU and UTH.
My stats were:
Science GPA: 4.0
Nursing Prereq: 4.0
HESI overall: 98
AP: 100
Math: 98
Vocab: 100
Grammar: 100
Reading Comp: 92
2 previous degrees (business and psychology), no medical experience
@EmJay92 Hi! I've been following both the UTMB and UTH threads, and we are in the same boat! I got accepted to both. I live in Sugar Land, so UTMB is quite a drive for me, but UTH also will be similar commute time in the morning to the TMC. I really liked how friendly everyone was at UTMB and since UTH doesn't do an interview, I didn't get a firsthand glimpse of theirs. Let me know what you choose to do! :)

I got accepted as well!!!! I'm in the same boat as some of you -- got accepted to UTMB and UT Health. Personally I think I will go with UT Health for the fact that it's much closer to me plus I can start a semester earlier. But both seem to be fantastic programs. Congratulations to everyone and I look forward to meeting you all!
