UT Health Cizik School of Nursing Spring 2022

Published

I have been looking for a forum for Spring 2022 nursing applicants.

I have submitted my application with a GPA of 4.0 and 94% HESI cumulative score.

Anyone else applied for the Spring 2022 semester? If so, what are your stats?

I’ve never really seen this discussed but what school did everyone do their prerequisites at? I’ve applied multiple times to the UT pacesetter  program with pretty OK/good stats. 3.4 GPA overall, 3.7 science GPA, 85 over all on the HESI and haven’t gotten in but I kinda feel like because I didn’t do my prerequisites at a university and at a local college instead (lonestar) that it has hurt my chances.

im still waiting to hear back about Spring 2022 and don’t really have any hopes of getting in but I kinda feel like UT judges based on if you went to UT or another university for your prerequisites versus a community college.

There were students that got accepted this term and did their prerequisites at HCC. So I don’t think that is something that they really look at.

So I did my prerequisites at San Jacinto College and have a handful of friends who went to SJC and got accepted in previous terms so I personally don’t think they go based off that but I don’t really know what they go off to determine who gets in. I just really wish they did interviews like other schools or personal statements.

OK well that’s good to know! Thanks for the reply.

Ahhh OK thank you for letting me know! I’m not really sure what I’m missing that they want but I guess we ALL feel that way when/if we don’t get it ?

Have all the acceptances gone out or will there be another wave?

I went to only community colleges, and I got in. However, I had a 4.0 and 95 on my HESI.

I ended up declining the offer of admission.

Hello. I hope this doesn't come across weird, but I am also looking to apply at UT health, but for Spring 2023. I was looking through the forum and ran across this thread & noticed I sit around the same GPA you do. I will take my HESI in 2 months & since you achieved really great scores, I was wondering if you could give me any advice? Possibly what you studied:) I saw some pointers on a the HESI thread, but I figured anything extra won't hurt! btw, congrats on your acceptance! Thats really awesome!
