Get ready to study your rear off. Lol. Patho is a beast but it is doable. Who are you taking patho with? I just signed up for pharmacology and intro to nursing.

Hey, late to this thread. I think I'm applying in the spring for the spring 2021? Which sucks because I'll have an entire semester of sitting around twiddling my thumbs.

Intro Nursing is super quick. It was a decent class, a lot of reading and discussion boards. But blessedly simple.

I'm taking Micro right now and I'm fairly certain the best I'll get is a B, which blows as I have a 4.0 science GPA until now. I'm thinking I will have to retake it in the Spring to stay competitive. I have an overall 3.7 GPA.

You can still apply for the fall 2020. The application deadline is not until January. As long as you finish all of the prereqs before the first day of class you should be ok.

Its good to hear that intro to nursing is blessedly simple. I am taking it with pharmacology and was kind of hesitant because I didnt know how time consuming it is.

It's basically a lot of "how to study efficiently and effectively" as well as a broad view of nursing. A bit of reading but the books are small, easy to read and the articles and research are fairly simple.

I took it along with three other classes including A&P, so I think you will do fine.

Interesting, so as long as all pre-reqs are done before the first day of upper division? I wonder if I can get an appointment with an advisor. The thought of dragging this out forever is killing me. I am taking micro now, in the first half of Spring I'm taking chem, statistics, technical writing and medical terminology, which will still be short of the usual hours I take. Advisor I spoke with last said to take Path over the summer and Pharm in Fall. Would that be too many classes without grades to apply? Currently the advisor said I'm above the 7.5 bench mark and I have two considerations.

I wonder should I take the TEAS just in case I am able to apply?

Oh never mind, I won't have chemistry completed in time for the application deadline.

Yeah that is another requirement. Having all the science prereqs done. Well look on the bright side. I have read on previous threads that spring application season is less competitive than the fall. Who knows if that is true or not.

I could use some advice. I've no clue what cutoff scores are getting into the program (online). I also want to know how much working at a partner hospital helps. Is it just GPA & TEAS based ranking?

Heya! I am saying this as someone that does not directly work with the BSN students (I work with MSN) but constantly overhear it. It depends on the applicant pool entirely. Also, they are starting the new 2020 Summer Campus starts so that may allow people who dont normally get in, to get in! TEAS scores to my knowledge have no pull on ranking. It is Science GPA based and your general course GPA. Also, keep in mind that campus will be less competitive than online.
