Hi, everyone. I am planning on applying to the ae-msn program this fall. I've read through all the ae-msn posts from '08 to 2016. I didn't see a thread for this year's application, so I'm starting one. Feel free to post questions and comments! :)
Yeah. The two people I interviewed with had graduated 5+ years ago from their BA, and been working in the field since then (a definite advantage to me, I graduated in 2015 and completing pre-reqs since then). LeaDs does sound like a great program, and one I'd happily participate in if I don't get in to any other NP programs. At the very least, like you said, it would open a ton of doors for further specialization, whereas right now I feel like I'm just banging my head against the very very few "alternate entry msn" options across the country. :)
Did you feel like the email was unclear? Does it mean we're certainly not going to be offered places in the PMHNP speciality, but *maybe* we'll be waitlisted? Gonna be honest, while I'm super grateful to have been referred, it was the most confusing rejection-y letter I've ever read.
I'm still listed as " In Review" for leads. No interview invite yet..... I know it goes well in to January but I would love to interview ASAP, if that's what I'm in the running for. Does anyone think that if people were denied they received that already? or do they wait until January to tell you, you've been denied.
Hi All! I applied for the CNS track and had my interview a few weeks ago. They were super nice but I don't feel like it went as well as I had hoped. Do any of you know how the interview is weighted? I think I'm pretty qualified otherwise but now I'm freaking out about my chances. I keep thinking of all the things I should have said!
Good luck to all who have interviews coming up! Just relax and get a good night's sleep (I think that was my mistake!) :)
14th or other day? Anyway, I think you'd have to do very badly not to be referred... So I think it is probably good news for those who interviewed but haven't heard back yet. I also didn't sleep well before my PMHNP interview and I'm very sure it showed. I think my LeaDs interview went much better.
Hi sb4vr, they haven't revealed how each portion of the application is weighted. I also tend to replay interviews in my head and wish I had said something different, but what's done is done! I've been trying to train myself to focus on the questions I think I did well on.
Have any CNS applicants been asked to apply to LeaDS instead?

Accept it and just be really open to possibilities if I get in. I'm glad to hear your interview seemed to go well, as I am worried I bombed and was a spaz and that's what kept me out. Though if I am being honest everyone I interviewed with was SO qualified. If I still want psych I can do my portfolio in it and pursue the post master's certificate. I definitely plan on becoming an NP eventually, this is a scenic route with lots of side quests and to make sure I pick the right place for me.
