Hi, everyone. I am planning on applying to the ae-msn program this fall. I've read through all the ae-msn posts from '08 to 2016. I didn't see a thread for this year's application, so I'm starting one. Feel free to post questions and comments! :)
I was there that day too, I've already been referred to LeaDs, so I think if you were getting referred you would have by now. I don't think you'd be outright rejected either. I too felt like my interview wasn't great but wasn't outright terrible. I feel so much better about my LeaDs interview.
I took nutrition and pharmacology through Straighterline and I was able to send the transcript electronically, directly to Tracy. There is a tab at the top of your home page that will allow you to request an official transcript. Good luck!
Ok so all I have left to take is Pharmacology this spring semester... I originally shy away from taking it on Straighterline because it was not list on the ae- msn preq list. Nonetheless, what was the name of the specific course you took with them? Did you take both Pharm I and II?

I spoke with Tracy before registering for pharmacology and she said that straighterline is accepted though you have to take pharmacology I and II. If I could do it again, I would take the course in the classroom rather than online. I found it to be difficult and there's a lot of information to learn on your own. The straighterline pharmacology grade is based off of 6 exams per section. There is no homework or quizzes to help your grade.

I figured the same. Thanks!
So I took pharma through Austin Community College online and the structure is very close to the same. 6 exams, a few quizzes, and only two home works. The tests are weighted much more heavily. I've heard from some that pharma is one of the hardest courses you'll take in nursing school, but I cannot confirm. DM me if you need any help studying, I didn't quite figure out how to study for it til the last two exams but I did well.

I felt the same way; I planned to be asked different questions so just didn't prepare right I guess. If it's meant to be, it will happen! Just wish we knew sooner lol
