Usfca university of San Francisco BSN SPRING 2017

Published

Hey everyone!

has anyone else applied for spring 2017 bsn program at USF? I know we'll be getting admission decisions soon!

I know. Hopefully it's a valid information lol

i am still confused on what classes to register??!

Did you do the webtrack already ? And did you upload your health/test information to castle branch already ?

i did absolutely everything all my castle branch, webtrack, think about it, student ID, health insurance waiver etc.

just need to send over the last bit of info to one stop to finalize my financial aid and get buy scrubs and shoes. This has/is been very stressful.

@mothernurseclub My award only covered 3k the rest was covered by my federal loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) and I had to take out a private loan for living expenses, books, room and board etc. Barely enough to get by. Haven't paid for castle branch because I am waiting on my last pay check from work to cover the castle branch expense. Sooooo stressful but it will be worth it.

Oh great!!! You're fast. I am going to take care all of that this weekend. It's so stressful.

So do you know what classes to register ?

Did you have any documents missing as well? Or you received your fasfa package when you got your acceptance letter ?

Also did they offer you the loan part of your financial aid packadge?

Thats great news! Whew!

Im still confused about registering for the courses in "blocks" though. @futurenorcalnurse we need ur expertise! how do we know which courses are in which blocks? There are only 3 blocks is this correct? I've emailed he nursing dept and they just said to refer back to webtrack :bored:

Has as anyone gotten any email or info regarding clinical placements?

hi all! To find the blocks go to canvas > prelicensure > course schedules > spring 2017 > BSN blocks > sophomore 1. You have to type in all the CRNs in the block you want then add to your schedule. Web track will let you know what clinicals are closed which makes the block closed. I think most if not all of you are block 11

@futurenorcalnurse Thank you!

@persuingmydream93 federal loans will be offered in ur package. I recommend filling out the loan addendum form, as @gio mentioned, so that u can double up on ur federal loans.

Just got an email about registration. I'm getting kind of annoyed with all the last minute updates.

U get to get double ur federal loan if u didn't take one out last fall.

I just got the final confirmation on the following from Financial Aid: Scholarship + Grant + Subsidized Loan + Unsubsidized Loan + Private Loan that I took out from Wells Fargo = Not even close to enough to get me through. I feel really defeated and frustrated. I don't have family I can borrow money from nor do I have any savings. Feeling grateful that I got in but feeling a bit devastated that USF's Financial Aid dept will not certify the full amount I was approved for via Wells Fargo. Apparently, even though I was approved by Wells Fargo for 22K, USF Fiancial Aid certifier only certified 9 thousand of it. Any suggestions? I'm at a loss. Guess I could live in my car to save on rent money.

Honestly.... I would tough it out and try for a state school if ur GPA is up there especially if u do well on the TEAS and have some health care experience. If I were u I would even think about community college programs. Also try HRSA scholarship. I am absolutely against going into a large amount of debt, especially with a private loan, for an undergrad nursing degree bc interest rates and fees will be up there and nurses don't make that much. This may be a blessing in disguise....

Don't be afraid to reject this nursing program if you really need to :shy:
