This thread is for those who applied for the np program for fall 2017 please inform if you've had an interview and when you submitted your application thank you

Congratulations jcort91, ASN, CNA, RN!

Thank you can't wait to meet you all at orientation!

I got accepted! Usf nurse practitioner program for the fall so please add me to the group

Congratulations jcort91!!!

I did a HIPAA course on CE Direct per the Castlebranch rep's advice (i.e. he said as long as it was a HIPAA training course, I could upload it and it would be acceptable). So, I did and it was accepted.

After reading the email we just received today from the College of Nursing Office, it appears that there is a USF specific HIPAA Certification that can only be completed once we are officially accepted and have a health net ID and password. So, even though I was advised by the Castlebranch Rep that my CE direct HIPPAA certification was acceptable, I am sure that I will still have to complete the USF certification.

I too was accepted into the NP program and look forward to meeting everyone at orientation.

Has anyone been "formally accepted" by the admissions office yet!?

No , but the email said it could take up to 4 weeks !

Those who were accepted did you all decided whether to do full time or part time? full time is 18 months and part time is 2.5 years and there's no happy medium of course lol

Should you decide to go full time, an affidavit has to be signed stating you agree to the course load and that you cannot go to part time should issues arise.

That must be new because I heard most students that go full-time end up doing part-time

But I also was wrong on my calculation to complete part-time it'll take 2 yrs and 8 months

@GGRNNP Yes I also live in lake county maybe we will be able to car pool to make things easier!!
